Chrome rear bumper and brackets 66 F100

Guys, I have sold my 66 F100, and sent most of my extra parts with it. I have a chrome rear bumeper with brackets that would need re-chroming. Is there a demand for something like this, or is it scrap?

If that was my truck, I couldn't put a price on it, keep it in the barn, that shouldn't cost you much. Save it for the next generation.
Circumstances are not pointing in that direction.

Re: Help me with pricing my 66 F100

I looked at your CL ad. Pictures of outside are fine, but you have no pictures of interior. What does the floor look like? What about the bed? What about the eng. compartment? What about the wiring? Please show me more. As a buyer I would ask for more pictures. I would also ask for any documentatio...

Re: Help me with pricing my 66 F100

More pics and description will be helpful in coming to a value? Engine/trans combo? Interior shape? Any upgrades to brakes, etc? All stock, including the wimpy drum brakes. Interior is pretty decent. I did a new headliner, made door panel inserts, and put in a nice original vinyl seat from a 67 Bum...

Help me with pricing my 66 F100

Hey guys, I have decided to sell my 66 F100 pictured in my avatar. I have no idea of a realistic value, so I threw it on Craiglist tonight for $4000. You guys thinks my price is reasonable? It needs some rust repair on the cab bottom and bed floor and tailgate. I'm not trying to be pushy on here abo...

Re: Chasing down the source of a rattle

Years ago I had a 71 Ford F100 with an annoying rattle under the dash. Bugged me for a couple years. I FINALLY found it one day. There was a brace under the dash bolted to the firewall. One of the bolts had not been tightened up all the way, and the flat washer had about 1/8" to dance around on...

Re: Whats the chance of selling a dismantled 352?

Thats an excellent price. Every block I have seen C5AE and up had 390 cores usually good for 4.110 bore before getting too thin. If original it should have C6AE-R or C6TE-G heads. Both are good iron performers. So are you saying this could be turned into a 390 with a rebore and new pistons? I was t...

Whats the chance of selling a dismantled 352?

I need garage space, and want to get rid of a spare 352 short block. Is there much chance of selling this thing, or am I wasting time? I have it loaded on my truck, but hate to scrap it. Not looking for a free ad or wanting to ship, but here is my C/L ad if anyone could use anything. I just need it ...

Re: What tgo do with an extra 352?

OK, Thanks for the info. I thought perhaps it could be bored oversize and 390 pistons installed. I didn't know the crank and rods were different. I don't need to keep it, need the room. I guess I will advertise it for parts on Craiglist for a week or two before letting my scrapper buddy take it. Is ...

What tgo do with an extra 352?

I have a 352 that my Dad saved from a wrecked 66F100 many years ago. It turned over freely so I have kept it. However, it takes up a lot of garage space, so I decided to disassemble it. When opened up, the inners were terribly gunked up with black sludge! I found the tips of the exh valves are badly...

Re: Some discussion questions

Just FYI, I had heard once that a Dodge floor would work. Perhaps the whole section would, but not patch pieces. I recently had to buy a whole bed from an 80's Dodge to use the bedside to repair another truck. I was thinking about using the ribbed floor for repair sections in my 66 Ford. But I used ...

Hobart Handler 220V unit . I got mine a few years ago at Tractor supply. Definitely get the 75/25 gas and set it up too. Flux core works, but is ugly. The gas makes for much better welds. The Handler comes with .030 wire, but the tips and .o23 wire are available for sheet metal body work too.

Finally, decent weather!

Just a rave! Yesterday the weather was "bee u tee ful"! After all the snow, ice, rain, mud, and freezing temps lately, I was about to go nuts. Finally got to go play in the garage yesterday. Anyway, I pulled the 66 outta the garage so I could do some maintenence and repairs on my daily. Ev...

I have a 3 speed from behind a 66 352 that I have been advertising on Craiglist for $45. Over a year, and I am getting tired of tripping over it. It may be going to china soon....
