Gary, There's a cleaner that's used on commerical equipment that works well. Don't know the name of it but its stout and works great on aluminum. We used it on construction equipment and it would remove the oxidized paint layer in about 10 minutes. Might check with a local truck or farm / constructi...

I have had good luck just bolting the wheel or an old rim on loosely and useing it as a short stroke slide hammer. You can get a straight pull that way but get the nuts on a few turns so they dont pull the threads. Sounds tight though and like mentioned heat works wonders. Who knows someone might ha...

515 Holmes wrecker
Picked up this wrecker about a month ago figure on pulling the winchs/booms off and parting out the rest. Should be able to get my money back and have the makings of a handy boom trailer. These winches and booms have a hand crank feature on them or I could set up the winches with a small engine. Wit...

Driving thru Milan Tn yesterday and noticed a beautiful display of American flags set up for memorial day. It looked to be a grid of 50 flags set on a well maintained rolling church yard with the sun setting in the background thru thunderheads in the distance. The air was crisp and clean from a cold...

ezer, Hope this makes sense to you my discriptions are kinda funky sometimes. If it feels like the shift lever is in the shift forks correctly try pushing the lever over to reverse and see if it feels springy. My thoughts are it might be in reverse and if it feels solid and a bit short on travel it ...

Never knew there were oversize pins But then again our local dealer guy hides when asked about parts that are older than he is. Sounds like a good way to go. There's room for a bushing in the hinge Big M but the pin and reamer sounds like the way to go. Y'all remember to tell folks not to slam the d...

Andrew, My wife said she can get the 800 customer service number to the company that has Devilbiss spray guns now if you need it. The compressor and spray equipment sides split years ago and ITW has the spray gun stuff last she heard. To make things confusing the air power (compressor) side of Devil...
