Re: Front end options on a '61 uni
Another vote here for the Industrial Chassis Dakota kit. I've had mine installed since 2009 and love it! They have since redesigned it and made it even better.
If you weld and can do the install yourself, you won't regret it.

Best place to buy a windshield?
I'm finally at the point where I can install the glass I my uni. I have all the old glass except a windshield. What do you all recommend as far as sourcing the glass. Is having one shipped just asking for trouble? Local glass shop? Mail order? I've never bought just the glass before. Any opinions? T...

Re: Changing rear gears to accommodate 1st granny gear?
I put an NV4500 in my highboy. Still have the low gear for doing truck stuff but the 5th gear made it a whole new truck on the highway. I can do 75 mph at 2200 rpm

Wiper switch options??
I'm looking for a replacement switch for my 63. One speed wipers. I'm not really interested in upgrading to two speed. Just want a new switch. I can't find one anywhere. Anyone have any ideas?

Ignition switch terminals
Does anyone have a pic of the back of the ignition switch for a 63 uni? I'm beginning the wiring on my truck and need to know which terminals correspond to Batt,Crank,Ign and Acc. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

Slap some Main/rod bearings in it (cam bearings wouldn't hurt) and some iron piston rings and gasket set and away you go.

No 460 here but I have a NV4500 in my highboy and love it! All the stock linkage worked. I got an adapter from Advanced Adapters and bolted it up.
Same bell housing and all.

Steering wheel/column interchangeability
Hey all. I'm in the process of sourcing a donor column for the uni. I'm searching the local yards to find something workable. So far I've found a 2WD 66 floor shift column and a 4WD 76 floor shift column. Neither one have a steering wheel on them. Floor shift is what I want so no biggie there but I ...

Re: Over Drive And Under Drive
I have the NV4500 in my highboy in place of the original NP435 and I love it. Pretty easy swap. Still have the low first gear and with OD Im turning about 2300 rpm at 75 mph all with 4.10:1 axles. I recommend it.

Re: 63 f100 rear brake line
Thanks for the reply. I finally found a helpful soul at Oreilly today and he and I looked through boxes for about 30 minutes until we found one. He cross referenced the number and it said its for a 66 F100. Oh well. It'll work!

Anyone have the correct part number or a source for a stock replacement? Two different stores looked it up and tried to sell me something that looked nothing like it.
Thanks
Thanks

what about the captured nuts that pop into the core support? I beleive there are five of them. They attach to the latch support brackets and the lower valance.
