I had my headliner done like that minus the radio but yesterday I covered it with black leather grained Naugahyde. maybe it will work and i can post some pics. I think this is a good idea. easy to make and paint-able or cover-able. poor guys dream.

Man, that has been my biggest set back I cant go without driving mine for to long. I've been working on mine for 9 years and just last month took my cab off and undercoated it and coated the frame. I almost went nuts before I got it going again....LOL

Drove my truck to work after taking the chrome strip off and doing some odd and end things like putting on my replacement door on the passenger side, and inside door chrome trim and panels. Spent quite a while last night looking at the thing literally petting it and talking to it like Robert Duvall ...
