Looking for a chrome dash panel for my '64. Will pay up for a nice one. Round speedo opening. Can't use one with the side holes cut out. I'm located in Edgewater FL. Zip code 32141. Also will be at SlickStock if we could make the transaction in person.
Thanks

Re: 1964 Instrument Cluster Restoration Source
Many vinyl graphics shops stock a vinyl "Spray Mask". It's the opposite of a decal, adhesive stencil, if you will. If you can get them to digitize the logo, then cut the stencil, you're in the game. Get extras and I'll buy 2 from you!

Re: 62 w/mustang II kit help
marcfridge - I haven't been spending much time here, but wanted to chime in...better late than never. I used the TCI kit in my '64 with the stock column. Just cut it off right at the old box. Then I made a steel plate which replaced the original hinged tin plate covering the opening in the floor fro...

By the way...no snow, salt, or drifts here. Just sand. We rode with the windows down all day.

Re: have you driven your slick this year?
Yes! The GF and I took a LONG ride in the country on New Years day. I'm very happy she enjoys it so she doesn't have to stay home....like my ex-wife did.

Re: I want a new house
Find a location where you can rent a small workspace for a couple hundred a month if you HAVE to have a shop. Pay somebody to maintain the lawn. Enjoy the therapeutic time gained by working on stuff at the new shop and cruising in your Slick and on your bike. The house will continue to appreciate in...

I found the whole thing revolting and shut it off. Too bad Lynyrd Skynyrd made the (IMO) bad judgement call to participate. Seemed to me they were a sideshow in a 3-ring circus. Sad.

Re: "What A Buffoon"
Seems to me the Chinese guy could have bought a houseboat for $160K that would be seaworthy. Although I'm no expert...my philosophy is "If it floats, f@(ks, or flys, it'll give you nothing but trouble.

Lowell - KC was a little over 3000 for me all-in. Easily another 2000 just running around locally. I'll double that if I ever get around to installing AC!

Re: Radiator Support Rust. Fix or replace?
Hey WrongBed - That support is very repairable. Most important is to make sure it's sandblasted thoroughly and cut out far enough away to get back to good steel. 18ga steel makes good strong repair panels for areas like that. Good luck!

Re: that coffee plant tour...(and a big friggin' plane)
I got roped into painting this one for a customer a few years back. The guy in the cherry picker with the 1 litre paint cup was me! I could take 2 cups each trip, when they were empty I had to come down and refill. There is nothing that sounds like a DC3/ C47 flying overhead! http://i477.photobucket...

Re: that coffee plant tour...(and a big friggin' plane)
We went down for the coffee tour, but the power was out in the building so the trip became a bust.....then we looked in back of the building! Holy Crap! How'd they get that plane back here? It's really cool to now understand why it was there. Thanks for posting it Ezer.
