Re: Trying to determine payload

I have a small pop up camper(Palamino Colt) that I tow with my 66 f100 240, 3 on the tree, drum brakes. Camper weighs about 1800 lbs. I tow it 2-3 times a year, mostly highway. Short trips less than 60 miles. Never had a problem.

Re: Narragansett wiring harnesses

That business is in Rhode Island . I have lived here my entire life. I have never heard of any law requiring a business to shut down if an owner dies.

66 parking brake cable ??

I am replacing my original parking brake cables with new from Rock auto. When I removed the brake handle and shaft, the pawl and torsion spring fell out. I cannot figure out how or where exactly the spring attaches to the pawl. Any help or diagram will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, John.

We have lost a good friend.

Our good friend Steve (F7 BIGJOB), passed away unexpectedly last night. He was a good friend and will be missed. I talked to Steve yesterday and was to meet him and his daughter this morning for a truck tour with a local truck club. I called him this am and was told the bad news by his sister in law...

Tire size options.

Hi All. I'm a longtime member, infrequent poster.
I am replacing the old chrome smoothies on my 66 F100 with stock 15 x5 wheels. What are my options for tire sizes for these wheels. I was thinking 235x75x15. Any ideas? What was original size? Looking for a stock look. Thanks, John.

Re: Re-lettering an instrument cluster

I repainted the white lines for the cluster with a white paint pen a couple of years ago. It is like a sharpie marker with paint in it.( I bought it at a hobby shop) It took some practice but came out looking good. I used plastic headlight cleaner/polish on the clear plastic.

Re: Just a pic of my truck

About ten years ago I adopted an old dog named Sam.(free from the local pound) He loved to ride in my '89 F150. The truck was a rotted out POS. I explained to my wife that the truck had seen better days and should be replaced ,if not for my safety but for Sam's. Surprisingly she agreed.(she loved Sa...

Re: In need of a trailer hitch.

I installed a new Curt that I got from Steve (F7BIGJOB) on my F100 swb. Easy install. I did have to drill a couple holes. Looks and works good. I use it to pull a small pop-up camper.

Re: Windshield seal too big?

Steve and I installed new seal on my '66 CC last fall. The seal was sloppy at first. We used masking tape to help hold it in place. We installed the seal on the glass and the ss trim to the seal and then with a small rope and lots of soapy water we put it in the opening. It came out OK, but was a re...
