Re: Broken shift tube
Sorry wasn’t up with the mods! I would have thought the mustang m/c would be a dime a dozen over your way, although that doesn’t help with the problem of changing out yet another m/c. I feel your pain with the quality of parts nowadays (or lack there of) this seems to be an ever increasing problem w...

Re: Broken shift tube
Master cyclinders are available from macs. Whilst I feel Macs quality has gone downhill a bit, it’s an option if you don’t want to rebuild yours or least will get you going and you could rebuild yours at your own pace. I’m sure other vendors may have them also. That price has gone up a bit since I l...

Re: Swapping mechanical fan for electric
I have done shrouded twin puller fans on both my slicks with great results. I ran a single 16" but it wasn't up to it alone. Both these slicks were 351C running in 'hot this week' Australia, so if yours is a 223 the results of a single might be fine. Shrouds for factory setups are long gone for...

Re: leak under dashboard - passenger side
I've had a similar leak in the same spot on a RHD version. Mine was the area where the cowl and the firewall met just like yours. The seam sealer was in awful condition and a bit of digging of the seam sealer just cracked and broke it off. The edges of the cowl and firewall had started to rust on th...

There isn't enough room in the slicks cab to hide a concealed unit unless you can find something with a bend in it (They do exist for 5 windows couples etc) Th...

Re: Air Conditioning
They will work okay with R-134, but R-12 was (at least in my opinion) much better. A larger condenser, perhaps supplemented with additional airflow from an auxiliary electric fan, can help to improve cooling when using R-134 I think this is a must with R134. Ive done this conversion on both the mus...

Re: Throttle spring
I have had this problem also, but totally different engine and cable setup. Just for some trouble shooting, had you tried disconnecting the throttle cable and checking the off idle from there? That way you can determine if its the return springs in the actual carburettor itself, or the pedal/cable s...

Able auto transport. They do ship non runners, but you need to email them i think. You used to be able to quote runners from their website.

Finished lowering today
Had the front beams installed by the pros a few weeks back, finished up the back today myself. Big day, but got it done..... Pics are ordinary but it was all I could get before the sun went down. Front came down 2.5" the back was 3" which is less than they claim but it might be my fault, n...

235/75 15" front and rear. Couldn't go much wider than that on the front with disc brakes. Heaps of room for wider in the back, but I like being able to rotate tyres and need for only 1 spare. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h268/lharwood_2006/f100/3D1EC810-4D60-45AA-9B32-1168A3F8706C_zpsplpz...

I use mine all the time, thats why I built it, I have done nearly 30000 miles in the past few years since I finished it, last trip was across 3 states about 2000 mile round trip to race my Comet, it also hauls my dads 1934 fords to the national V-8 rallys. Re: Seats
I much prefer buckets generally speaking, so I went with slickcollecters brakcets when he was making then and a brand new set of mustang seats covers from tmi. I went with the sport seat and headrest in the pony style. They looked great but the buckets just didn't sit right in the slick I don't thin...
