Shout out to Flashback F100’s at the Grand Nationals
Don’t know if this is allowed or not but I don’t care! Just wanted to thank Tom at Flashback F100s for selling me some great parts at the Grand Nationals this weekend. He had an actual Motorctaft ignition switch for my 61. No it wasn’t cheap but I was glad to get a quality part and happy to pay the ...

Re: 62 F100 at Mecum 6/19 not for everybody
Always has to be a smart a$$ know it all replying to every post! Couldn't care less that the truck was owned by Campbell, just think it's funny that he chose to spend his money ruining a unibody. Now I remember why I quit posting here, no sense of humor.....

Re: F100 Supernational tale
I also went to the Supernationals and unintentionally pi$&ed off a fridge owner. He had slick hubcaps on his fridge. I have two fridge caps hanging on my wall. I was going to offer to send them to him for free!!!! He got super mad at the insinuation that his truck wasn't 100% original and insist...

bad and good luck 292
Bought a wrecked 63 F350 for parts 4 or 5 years back. Got the engine (292) running and it sounded great. Pulled out the engine and all other useable parts, scraped the wrecked/rusted mess left behind. The 292 sat on my garage floor for about a year and locked up. I can only guess from condensation (...

Re: vacuum booster vs hydro-boost?
I have the hydroboost set up on a 2000 F350. One of the high pressure power steering hoses blew (while my wife was driving it) and not only did she loose power steering but the brakes went to crap as well. Not saying you shouldn't use it, just something to think about.

Re: Newbie here...just bought a 1966 f250
Welcome! Major differences between the F250 and F100 include the 8 lug pattern for the wheels on the 250 vs the 5 on the 100. Also the 250 has heavier springs/brakes and uses a heavier rear end. There may be more differences but those are the big ones. I'm sure more folks will chime in with specific...

Re: Paint opinions and rear bumper ? for a Flareside
I think it would look good with the red roof and the rest blacked out, but like Randyr said its your truck, do whatever you want. If anyone doesn't like it tell them to kiss your cut down styleside bumper!

Re: 3 on the tree opinions wanted
I don't really want to put the shifter on the floor unless I go with the factory 4 speed. I have the T-98 and it is geared low in 1st, but I plan on running the truck in a couple of local parades. I think it would be great for that. I doubt that I would ever drive on the interstate or venture far fr...

Re: 3 on the tree opinions wanted
Thanks to all the folks that replied on the operation. I am going to try it out and see what happens. I think I'll keep looking for the 4 speed bell just to keep as a back up. As for the terminology police, your own post refers to an F100 as a "Uni". This is not the correct designation for...

3 on the tree opinions wanted
I have a 61 Unibody with a 223 and a three speed. The trans is out of a 64 and is the heavy duty option. I have never had a truck with a three on the tree before. I rebuilt the tranny and have all of the new parts to put the shifter back together on the column. I have heard so many bad things about ...

Re: Decisions?
Sorry to hear about your injury. I say buy the 64 and keep the 66! If you're anything like me you will regret getting rid of one of the children!!! Everytime I get rid of one I usually wind up buying two or three more, so be careful. This can get ugly if the little misses catches on to that trend (t...

Re: Dennis Carpenter Unibody Tailgates
Sorry guys I don't even own a digital camera, and all I have is a dumb phone so no pics. ezernut9mm hit the nail on the head, these gates will need some work to be perfect but the originals fit and looked rough too. My opinion is: if you don't have one or yours is too far gone these are a fair deal ...

Re: Dennis Carpenter Unibody Tailgates
I have the gate on the truck and it fits well. It took some minor (metal file and dremel) grinding to get the latches to work properly, but nothing major.
