I miss the old activity. Especially the new builds. The Facebook groups may be getting more traction but are full of Crown Vic suspension swaps and 20" wheels. To each their own but not my cup of tea. I'd love to start a build thread but, as stated before, picture posting is a problem here.

Sounds like they used top lock nuts. They are good at locking but not so much fun to tighten in a situation like this. Also you might want to put a little anti sieze on them. They have a tendency to gall.

I'm familiar with the Borg Warner OD transmissions. I have a T85 OD in my '56 Ranch Wagon and have a spare T 86 OD out of a passenger car. When I did mine I was lucky enough to find a donor cab. It made the repair a little easier. Also when you cut out the repair panels you'll get a good idea how it needs to go back together. Look up Sid Drapal on Facebook or John Pennington. They both make drop I beams. Sids are stretched just like a drop axle and John's are fabricated from old beams. Both are excellent quality. I have a set of John's waiting to go on my '76 if you want to know what they look like.

Yes. Just like that one. I actually think the hole is there on purpose. I think you are right about heat exchanger for the intake.i always thought it was just radiant but maybe that's not the caes.I have the matching intake,valve cover,and lifter cover. All Fenton. I cant wait to get them on my 223.

Sorry. It's the split exhaust manifold. It looks almost like the hole is supposed to be there but seems odd to me why it would. I would post pics if I could figure out how.

I finally found a Fenton split manifold for a 223 but it has a hole internally between #3 and #4. It is not external and will not leak but will the internal leak cause any issues? I dont think it will but wanted to get some opinions on it.
