Re: Big Betty leaves the nest
Dwight, I got rid of Big Betty. The 4x4 I got 3-4 years ago. I had no need for her anymore. The funds aren't there anymore since retirement. So I'll just have to hang on to Betty. The truck I've had for 30+ years. You know which one she is. Her bed is longer than yours is  It is not easy giving...

Re: Big Betty leaves the nest
Ok Guys, She's gone cry.gif . I delivered her to the new owner Friday afternoon. That was a long and somber drive. After some conversation, came the time to leave and let her there. While getting back in the wifes car to leave I took my last look at the poor ole gal. She was probably saying, "W...

Oh Yeh, I still have my Sweet Betty. My son has his short bed big window conversion and that's it.
Those 2 will always have a home here.

Big Betty leaves the nest
cry.gif Thinning the herd. I have made a decision that was pretty much difficult to do. I have decided to let Big Betty go. I have put a lot of work into her and now it's time to let her move on. She will be going to a good home. My friend from where I retired offered to take her off my hands. He ha...

Hey Highboy, The old beast is looking good. I like the idea of the cop truck. Maybe the gold star should read " SLICK COUNTY PATROL" "JOHNSON COUNTY HOT ROD PATROL", or "JOHNSON COUNTY SNOW PATROL" I really like the interior too. Keep up the good work. Might make me get...

Tim, One thing nice about being retired is that I can clean up my messes before the master gets home

Re: new puppy
This little girl is getting to be all puppy. Don't dare let your socks lay. You will have to look all over to find them. She likes to grab my pant legs w/o warning. And wear a shirt while holding her. She has a fascination with nipples. Her teeth are sharp as hell. That crap hurts. (no, I'm not tryi...

Back before Christmas, My wife and I had to have our 14 year old lab/boxer mix put to sleep. She was a well trained companion. She loved people. We decided we would sooner do w/o a dog rather than to have to go through all that again. Well, We stopped at a pet store 3 weeks ago and that all changed....

Retirement is nice. Been working around the house to get caught up on 41 years of neglect. It's been a full week yesterday. Did manage to get Betty out of the garage today and give her a bath. I will be back to posting more pics on Big Betty sometime in the middle of summer. Thanks for checking on m...

spring expansion
As usual I noticed the steering wheel has expanded over the winter months. I climbed into the truck to take her for a spin and quickly noticed how big the steering wheel has expanded over the winter. What should a person do about this problem? I was wondering if we were to wrap the wheel in plastic ...

Sinc,
Boy don't I wish. But I do remember when my neighbor had new Slicks. I think he got one every year. Even then I thought they were cool. If only I knew then what I know now.
