Yeah, I actually have a couple friends that drive back and forth to OKC every week or every other week and pass right by Obsolete that could pick up whatever I need

Dennis Carpenter, LMC, Flashback F100?

Is there somewhere on this site that is pretty comprehensive as to what parts/accessories to buy where? Seems like our main options are Dennis Carpenter, LMC and Flashback F100. Seems like I remember reading on this site that all window rubber/door seals should be purchased at Dennis Carpenter. Pers...

Re: Lowering a 64

I would do a 3" dropped axle in front and remove every other spring in the pack in the rear. That will get you exactly where you want to be. WAY less than $1000! It will cost you $300 to swap out yours for the dropped one plus another $60 for the rod drops. http://droppedaxle.com/FORD_AXLES.htm...

Re: Carpeting for a '65??

if i had a rug in my truck i would have to be careful with my feet being dirty. never going to happen. the rubber floor i have is easily cleaned. :2cents: I've always been the same. I like the idea of carpet for the aesthetics and sound deadening (to whatever level if deadening it might serve) but ...

Typical seller. He gets one bite and think he has a gemstone. And the "rare" part really gets me. Clueless to the bone. I agree, leave it be and when he still has it in 5 months offer him $500. He'll counter at $1200 like he's Richard Rawlings or something. I can see the entire deal unfold...

2015 Lonestar Roundup...Austin

Any slicksters out there driving to Austin the weekend of April 18? It's a huge show. Not nearly as cool as it was 7-10 years ago but the city is fun and there's lots to do. I'll be there. I prob won't spent a lot of time by my truck but if I'm there stop by and say hi

Re: Patina sounds great doesn't it.

Patina is just that...patina. Some people can't afford or don't want a 'shiny' car. What's wrong with that? In line with causing the country to go down hill, huh? a few seem to have lost touch with the spirit of what this site is about. Not tearing down what you might call a 'fad' when in fact cars ...

Re: Hey Anthony.....Have You Seen This One?

I went a few years back and he along with a super team of kustom car guys chopped a 53 Chevy for a guy in a weekend. It was pretty cool to see so many ideas being bounced around. But make no mistake, he was in charge and it turned out super cool

Re: Tires

From what I understand bias ply tires are more rigged therefor 'walk' more than radials due to less traction with the road. They also don't last as long because instead of having steel belt construction they use layers of nylon. On a daily driver I would highly recommend raidals. For a weekend warri...

Re: Radiator upgrade in my '66

Why not go with an aluminum radiator? I swapped out my 223 for a v8 and upgraded to the largest aluminum radiator Speedway offers. It cools like a champ and I think it only set me back about $120-130.

It doesn't have to be from a mustang specifically. Try any ford passenger car 68 and up.

Whatever you do don't go with those tin can sounding flowmasters. Brockman mufflers are high quality and made by one guy in Michigan. Give him a look for mufflers
