Not sure if they have the same flasher, but the hazards work.. :-/
Hoping they are indeed separate flashers, as the hazard switch is on the dash, and not on the column.

I bought the unit from Dennis Carpenters, not sure if that's the Taiwan kind or not..

Just a quick thought, you haven't recently installed a radio or anything? I've seen the switched/hot wires mixed up many times before so the radio ends up being always 'on' and flattens the battery. Here is a simple check for a draw. Next time you go to the boneyard, get a side marker or tail-light socket and bulb out of a junker. Be sure to get at least 6 inches of wire for each of the 2 leads. Got the back brakes apart, they were rusted solid (wheel cylinders) And I am sure that my fronts are just as bad, and needs to be rebuilt too..AND, I have been wanting to lower it..SO, I have located a jag front end, and will be placing that in my truck...I picked it up today...I'll keep you posted...
