Re: New turn signal switch issue

Not sure if they have the same flasher, but the hazards work.. :-/
Hoping they are indeed separate flashers, as the hazard switch is on the dash, and not on the column.

New turn signal switch issue

Ok, so I purchased and installed a new turn signal switch in my 66.. The switch worked fine while parked. I drove it down the road, and no turn signals. I immediately saw the wires had gotten pinched by the clutch pedal and subsequently blew the fuse. I run to the parts store and put in a new fuse, ...

Re: -TECH- Jag XJ6 IFS into F100

I am slowly, and I mean SLOWLY doing this on my '65..One thing that I am running into that I don't think was brought up here.. is that the 65-on (ibeam) trucks have taller frames. From what I can find, 1" taller. So, to install the crossmember, like it has been described and shown here will not...

Yes, cutting the beefy stock cross member out is needed..I am keeping my engine in, so it is a bit harder for me, but if you had your front end off, and engine out, then this would be fairly simple...I will be posting vids very soon on my youtube channel that shows this process...But, once you get t...

ya, it is pretty good...It'll still need to be rebuilt, but I'll get it all secured in the truck before I get to rebuilding it...flirting with putting airbags in it..seems like it would be a breeze, but..... And the videos run a little behind compared to where I actually am on the project...only bec...

If you'd like, you can follow along with my install here...It is all in "real time", with the exception of a few sped up parts...But for the most part, just me, in my small garage doing the swap...Here's the link to my youtube channel!

Just a quick thought, you haven't recently installed a radio or anything? I've seen the switched/hot wires mixed up many times before so the radio ends up being always 'on' and flattens the battery. Nope, haven't hooked anything up new like that...(unless the voltage regulator) I'm pretty far from ...

Here is a simple check for a draw. Next time you go to the boneyard, get a side marker or tail-light socket and bulb out of a junker. Be sure to get at least 6 inches of wire for each of the 2 leads. You will use this bulb to check for voltage. This is a cheap and quick current tester. Before you s...

Steering wheel nut

Ok, please forgive me if this has been talked about before, but I am swapping out steering wheels and apparently the previous owner had really boogered up threads...AND, the nut that was finger tight on the wheel is not the original one...So, does anyone know what size/thread the nut needs to be? I ...

welp, I've done the deed...well, partly...I put down a deposit, for them to know that I am serious..Once they unstack all the cars, and get the jag on the rack, then they said they'd call me...(to inspect and insure that nothing is broke...)So, for all you guys that are running these, any weak point...
