Expensive engine detailing job
5 months ago this truck was on Hamb and ebay a couple different times for 13k - 14k and took a while to sell at that price. Looks like after some new paint in the engine, a new air cleaner and some fancy photos and an over-the-top description, its worth at least 10k more now. Current seller was aski...

Re: 62 shortbed project
So you left the cab on the frame but supported it w/ jacks, cut the floors out, welded the front cab mounts to the floor patches and then welded that all back in as one piece?

Re: I like these wheels
I bought a set of these last summer but it will be a while before I get them on. I got 15x5 fronts and 15x8 rear (or maybe 15x7, can't remember). I was going to do one or 2 gold pinstripes on them with staggered blackwalls to get a little rake. And bullet lugnuts.

64 exterior moulding clips
Does anyone know if there's any other model Fords whose moulding clips will work on a 64 f100? Just need to know what to keep an eye out for.

Re: Bright lights, and dark roads...
I would just add that if you are in a pinch and don't want to mess with the wiring yet that switching back to a standard bulb from halogens is likely to get your brights working again. At least it did for me....brights never worked when I bought the truck, took out the halogens and all was good (at ...

Re: MetalFlake Slicks
I asked how much he wanted when it was primer and red window tint...it was a little out of my price range but it all looks like real quality work. I like the red bedliner a lot.

Re: More Slicks coming to Auction....
My opinion, but I don't know many people who would choose a 63 grill over a 61 or even 62 or 64 to put on #3.

Re: New guy from Sunny Decatur Illinois!
Hey, nice truck. I grew up not too far away from Decatur, been there quite a few times when I was young.

Re: keystone klassics
If you can ever find any I always thought the Keystone Rogues would look great. Just a few little tweaks from the Klassic that make them look a lot cleaner and maybe a little more old school. I have a set of Snomags in bad shape that are basically a Rogue that came painted white. http://i649.photobu...

Re: Hello from Chicago
Nice job, was that the one on Craigslist? That was a steal. Listed for $500, right? I was scrambling to line up a place to put that thing before I bothered contacting the seller but you snapped it up pretty quickly!

Re: 2x3 tubing cab mounts for a 64 [6/8 - added some pics]
I was thinking along the lines of pay a welder now to make the mounts and install them for sure. Which means can I get by with just patching cab pillar for now and maybe get a welder and learn myself later to tackle the step and under hinge. Meaning I don't view the stuff inside the cab as a safety ...

Re: 2x3 tubing cab mounts for a 64
Anybody want to offer some advice to this poor dummy who can't weld and won't be able to take the cab off of the frame? Below is the sad state of my driver side cab mount. Yes, removing the old mount should be pretty easy since someone decided to hold it in place with silicone. And you will probably...

Re: 2x3 tubing cab mounts for a 64
Your cab mounts absolutely HAVE to tie into the rocker panels. That provides most of the support for the weight of the cab. The floor alone can't take the weight - it will buckle as soon as you start driving it. Yeah, sorry if I was not clear...I was expecting to tie into the rocker panels. I meant...
