Re: Front disc brake conversion
If you haven't thought about a brake booster,or at least dual chamber master cylinder, maybe you should.... A dual chamber master cylinder and can add a safety factor to your system. Re: Front disc brake conversion
This should give you an idea what it takes to get Chevy disk brakes on your Ford D44. https://tomsoffroad.com/pages/ford-bronco-schematics/drivetrain/dana-30-and-dana-44-disc-brake-conversion/ Then there's swapping in a later D44 that has open knuckles and disk brakes, and gives a tighter turning ra...

Re: Front disc brake conversion

Is this a closed knuckle Dana 44?
How original do you want to keep this truck?
Are you good at fabrication, and working out clearance and parts choices?

Re: How NOT to restomod your slick... Not for the squeamish.
Ive noticed a trend as I have grown older. Personal income and common sense have an inverse relationship most of the time. He hopes to create a rat truck rocket ship, not realizing that a tesla has an aluminum body , low center of gravity and short wheelbase. So all the programing that controls the ...

How NOT to restomod your slick... Not for the squeamish.
Start with a minimal rust midwestern slick. Lets say a 3/4 ton... The first thing you shouldn't do is throw away the stock wheels, matching hubcaps and all. Then you should have a foggy clue what wheels will fit a slick and look at least passible. Now while I don't mind the look of a lowered slick. ...

Re: Here ya go... 25mpg slick.
I didn't title it as a CHEAP slick.... Just a 25 mpg slick... If he was asking closer to 2k I would have been showing picture of my new DD. Three of my DD's. Have died in three months. A timing belt, third for our Rodeo. A single failed injerctor burnt the rings out on one cylinder of our Hombre. An...
