My Slick is now in TX
LiveFromNY (John) flew into ATL on Friday afternoon. We did the deal at the airport and he was on his way - 900+ miles back to Austin. He ran into a couple of issues on the way home. The hi/lo switch shorted out and blew the fuse for the headlights. It's only a handful of things I left original. He ...

Re: Rattle can paint
How much do you want to paint? You can always get in quart cans and buy the aerosol unit for $16. I find it much easier to just bite the bullet and use the compressor and HVLP gun.

Re: Bed Painted
Thanks, and it does make me want to keep. But there are other projects and no room. I got the saddle tanks installed Saturday. New fuel lines and even put inline filters in for extra protectsion. http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/w429/BigMikes65/2012-11-17_16-39-03_484.jpg http://i1075.photobucket...

Re: Bed Painted
I'll never find another Slick as straight and rust free as this one. It was a very fun project and I learned so much about Slicks. I'm sure there will be another one in my future. One thing that I forgot to John before he bought it, she is an attention whore. He might get tired of everyone telling h...

Bed Painted
I wish I'd have done this a long time ago. The truck is just about ready for its new owner. Need to bolt the bed down, install the tailgate and saddle tanks. Re: Bench Bleeding the MC
Yep, two ways to do it.
Either block ports and pump slowly or use return lines to the master. I do mine on the truck. Be careful because some masters will shoot brake fluid like a porn star.

It's rather big (that's what she said) so it will take a while to download.

Nice job. I started sanding the box of my truck yesterday. I'm planning on painting it in the next couple of weeks. Might see if I can get is soda blasted for $100 some place and save the time sanding. Even thought it's for sale, I have the paint and finishing the inside of the bed will take the tru...
