Re: "Added Another Slick"

The Slick sickness has set in. :lol Nice truck. I especially like the rear bumper and tail light covers. Hadn't seen that before.

Re: ever seen one of these?

Not bad for around $3700 U.S. dollars ( 20,000 Argentine pesos). It would be a long drive back and very interesting, I'm sure. :steering:

I would really like to but can't, otherwise I'll end up in the proverbial "doghouse". no.gif . Thanks though.

Starter bolt question?

Help! I'm installing a new starter in my '66 with a 352 engine. What is the secret to put in the top bolt that is almost inaccessible due to its location and the exhaust tubing nearby, short of pulling out the engine? When I pulled out the old starter, it was missing both the tab and the bolt. This ...

Re: Oil bath to paper element

I did it slightly differently. I hogged out and trimmed the top half and put an entire chrome "tin" unit inside. I used the height of the paper element to adjust the overall height to that of the original. The cheap Chinese carb mount was so thin it fit nicely between the carb top and the...

oil bath filter conversion

Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything on it. I have the original oil bath filter on my 223 with a single barrel carb. What is involved in converting it to a paper air filter while still retaining the housing for the oil bath? :dontknow:

Re: Looking at a '66

***UPDATE*** : I am offically a slick-a-holic. I brought her home! I was surprised at the condition of this survivor. It is the original 352 and 3-speed tranny. It has a lot of power for an old truck and does not smoke at all. The 3-on- the- tree shifts nicely. Clutch feels good but the brakes need ...

Looking at a '66

I called about this '66 long bed. It's a 352 as per the owner and shifts good. It looks decent in the pics and is at a decent price. If I do bring it home with me, I'll be in the doghouse! :argue: :argue:

Las Cruces is a great town! It is about an hour from me and I have family there, so I often go there. So if you see a '64 baby blue and white slick, pull me over and say hi. Also, there are no altitude problems and the weather is very nice. You will like living in the Land of Enchantment.
