Jeff: Thanks for taking the time to take pics, and to post them!
Looks like a pretty good selection, from survivors all the way to show quality.
Too bad the commute from where I'm at is a Beyotch......a quick look on mapquest puts it at just over 2200 miles, EACH WAY.

No hard data to back it up, but to me, if the GVW goes up, one would expect that they put enough brakes on it to stop the heavier (loaded) truck?

Re: BlackTruck Build 65
Jeff: Somewhere in my travels, I seem to recall someone getting "pigtails" from NAPA, or other automotive jobber?? The post I remember, I believe he silver soldered it into the OEM backing assembly, but you could probably use epoxy putty, and that way not mess up the plating on the pigtail...

Interesting, but I'd have to see the Data Plates and some documentation before I'd 100% buy into them being legit.
Anyone can stick some badges on a vehicle, and one would hope a Museum would do their due diligence, rather than take what they see at face value.

Yah, cuzz everyone knows, you always get the very best results doing body/paint work at night, under THE COVER OF DARKNESS :? WTF? Wow oldsmily if you brought old blue to Slick Stock next year we could have a paint party. I'm not sure how the motel would feel about the idea but if it was done in the...

A night @ the movies
An old farmer went to town to see a movie. The ticket girl said, "Sir, what is that on your shoulder?" The old farmer said, "That is my pet rooster, Chuckie. Wherever I go, Chuckie goes." "I'm sorry, Sir," said the ticket girl, "We can't allow animals in the theate...

Besides, when have you ever talked to ANYONE who finished sooner than their planned completion date?
I expect your truck will be seen at a few 2022 shows!
Cheers!

Another from a few weeks back, spoiler alert, STILL haven't gotten around to cleaning up all the "schtuff" in the aisleway. IIRC, this occurred over the weekend of Jun 11/12/2022 Weekend before last, I started in on the garage, did manage to clear 90% of the surface area of my fab table of...

This actually precedes the one above, as this took place on Sat Jun 4th/22 Well, I have a bunch of "stuff" stored in a neighbour's garage, and they're talking about listing the place with a Realtor......so, in a preemptive move to be (somewhat) ready, for that call......I went outside at a...
