Not sure if you were checking fuel flow above the carb, or out the bottom of carb, but they also have a screen on carb inlet elbow that gets plugged easy. (unless someone already chopped it off!) Other than loosening sediment bowl to get fuel flowing if it ran out, don't think bowl should need to be...

Looks like a 6.6/7.8 liter Ford Brazilian diesel, used in some farm tractors and med duty trucks/buses.
A lot bigger and heavier than it appears in picture, no crazy ideas about slick installations!

Good lookin' LTL! I recently aquired a '95 LTL dump truck that is pretty close to same color as yours. Really like the mean look of the big hood! Just wish I could have your air ride, but with dump I really need walking beam, but it rides terrible w/aluminum box. I'm used to rough ride, but this one...
