Re: Too quiet around here......

Hi Guys,

Well, I'm still here. Just lurking in the weeds I guess. I check the site a few times per week. Just haven't had that much to add. I'm still with the museum and loving every minute of it.

Best regards to all…

Re: Dakota,, RIP

Hey Tom and Kathy,

I am truly sorry to hear of Dakota's passing. She was a special dog and definitely a part of the Slick 60's history and lore. May she rest in peace.

Best regards…Sinc

Re: Most Popular Auto Museum in America

Hey Tom, I'm not sure how much help I can be. However, the cars in the background of the photo seem to be from the early 30's. So, I looked for New Jersey race tracks that operated in the mid-to-late 30's. Check out this website and see if any of the locations might have been in your dad's wheelhous...

Re: Most Popular Auto Museum in America

Hey Johnny, the Stock Exchange was "work", the museum is "pleasure"! Hi Tom, great old photos! Thanks for posting them. But, I'm going to need a bit more information. It looks like the car might have been number 99. But, give me an approximate year and location (Race Track name, ...

Re: Most Popular Auto Museum in America

Hey Lyman, How are you? Good to hear from you! The Simeone "money" is from Dr. Simeone himself. He is a world renowned Neurosurgeon (he's retired now). He started collecting historically significant sports racing cars when he was a young man. He bought them for pennies on "today's&quo...

Our Youth Ambassador

Greetings, This past Saturday we conducted one of our Demo Days. The featured topic was "Automotive Aerodynamics" and we rolled out several of the crowd favorites. Most of which I have already posted here. But, here's the really cool thing about the day. We have a father and son team that ...

Street Rod Nationals (East): Slicks & Oddballs

Re: New Tool in the Box

Hey Rich, I don't know what the Stutz's top speed was. But, I can tell you this... After nearly winning Le Mans in 1928, Stutz entered three, more powerful supercharged cars in the 1929 Le Mans, one of which finished in 5th place. This car is one of those three. It is the only survivor of the three ...

New Tool in the Box

Hi Folks, This weekend at the museum the theme was "What Would You Drive at Le Mans?" We asked our fans to go to our website and vote for any "Le Mans" car in the collection that, if they could, they would want to drive on the Le Mans track. We knew exactly which three cars they ...

Hey folks, Certainly NOT a Ford, but pretty cool anyway. Last week, we hosted a fundraiser event for Autism. Somehow, we managed to snag the 1949 Buick Roadmaster that Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman drove in the movie "Rain Man" as our centerpiece… http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll207/s...

Sports Car Club of America (SCCA)

Hi Everyone, Okay, I know that these aren't Fords. But, I thought some of you folks might find them interesting anyway. The theme for yesterday's Demo Day was "Sports Car Club of America". The cars that we selected are a fairly representative showing of cars from the early days (and the sp...
