Re: ok smart guys, help me identify this thing...
Definitely overdrive controls. yes you could actually split each gear if everything is set up right. There is what looks like another shift lever on the side of the trans ( this is where the cable would go) and I'll bet if you move that lever and tie it fast, the truck will shift just fine and take ...

Re: Speedo still wont work?
As everyone is saying---you have a mis-match with the gears.
Running the drill in reverse is correct, that is the way the cable should spin.
You just need to get the correct matching gears. The cable will still turn the "reverse" direction.

phosphoric acid -OSPHO
I haven't used this stuff before--phosphoric acid-- so please help me out. I will first be doing the insides of my doors, there is no real rust but I want to keep it that way. So, I spray it on----then what? Let it dry? Wash it off? I want to spray some rust encapsulator on after this and then some ...

Re: air shocks
Darrell, I believe Monroes were rated at 90 psi and Gabriels were 150 psi but its been 30 years since I did that trick. The problem is..........the whole suspension rides on the shocks and puts ALOT of strain on the shock mounting points.

Kevin, how about an external oil cooler and a dual filter? all remotely mounted. That should add to the capacity.

I must chime in also. Who would have thought.....the first thing I remember (also right after the switch to Yahoo) was who in their right mind would call themselves "Foodstick" ? But I kept coming back,Everyday, to see what others were talking about. Soon found out that there were a few &q...

Re: Holley Doesn't Play well with Others.
You won't be able to get a vacuum reading since it wont idle. But a 6.5 will make it run. The power valve controls the idle circuit and a blown one will allow fuel to enter without being metered. Make sure to carefully install the gasket. Altho I've never seen a blown one that kept the idle that hig...

Re: Holley Doesn't Play well with Others.
For sure the needle and seat is letting the fuel flow unrestricted. take it out and give it a once over. or just replace it.check the float level, and turn back the pressure to 5 or so, that's plenty. You should be good

Re: Slicks at Carlisle
Anthony, yes that black one is nice, I've seen it a few times before. He even showed up at Slickstock 2006 in York. I never saw the guy with extended cab either. Bill, according to the owner of the Uni, he just finished it in time to make Carlisle. Talked with him for quite a while. Super nice guy a...

Only 3 Slicks in the show.
