Re: 61 Unibody build aka "The Beast Build"
Alright guys, I got started with the big dent. Still needs a little work on that one. I got in a bike accident and tore my rotary cuff muscles after that. I'm finally able to use my arm, so I'm gonna start on the body again finally. http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg570/cornhole4242/The%20Beast-...

Re: 61 Unibody build aka "The Beast Build"
Looking real good. Just a few questions. What did the engine come out of? Did you buy or make the engine mount setup? Do you still have the old 292? Thanks, J Thanks. The engine originally came out of a 70 something Lincoln. Derek (63bigwindow) put the engine mounts and trans crossmember on there. ...

Re: My 66 F-100 Shortbed resto. Taking a while.
Pretty sure the verticles behind the F O R D in the grill was black I contemplated painting the letter backing parts black, but when I did it after first getting the truck, I didn't like the way it looked. To my eye it made the letters more difficult to read and didn't look as classy. I could alway...

Looks great man! Nice work. After seeing this I wish I would've gone the frame off route. It would've made things a lot easier

Re: 61 Unibody build aka "The Beast Build"
Lowered the back end about 3 1/2 inches. Not really sure how much because I forgot the initial measurement lol. Anyways we took out 3 leafs on each side and my grandad lengthened the shackles as far as they would go before they hit the bed. Also painted the wheel wells with some bed liner. http://i1...

Very nice, great headliner and great looking bench seat. I really like the frame color choice too. Most everyone goes black on the frame. Nice truck!

Re: Slickmainer 1961 unibody
have at man, that's why I posted them. key is taping off the letters then sanding down the chrome till the shine is off, I did it till the shine was dulled as I didn't want to keep sanding! then blow them clean (cant really wash it clean since the tape is on there), then a couple coats of etching a...

Re: 61 Unibody build aka "The Beast Build"
Now to the front end. When we began putting the front body back on it didn't line up right. After messing with it for hours, we figured out the cab mounts were rusted and had collapsed a little. So we cut all the rust out and put some rust reformer over the hard to get places. Made a new mounting su...

Here's when we got the engine running but we were still having problems with the tranny. I took off the trans pan and found the gear selector some how slipped off the valve switcher thinggy lol. Don't know what it's called but it was stuck in low gear. http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg570/cornh...
