Re: JUST SOME OF THE CHRISTMAS HOROR!

I am afraid that I am going to have to have this done at my house, and am not looking forward to it. I have a 2 foot area of plants between the house and patio the whole front of the house, and am hoping they can do this without tearing up the patios. This Texas soil moves so much! My pool is trying...

I'm looking for a nice 95 or 96 F150 also, but here in North Texas the prices have really gone up since the cash for clunkers deal last year.

I have a 58 Fairlane 500 tudor hardtop with a 352/300hp that my grandparents bought new in Odessa Texas, when my grandfather retired from the oil patch. I got it in 1988 when my grandmother decided that she shouldn't be driving anymore. It had 58000 miles on it then. I drove it home to Illinois, Ove...

When the 2011s come out with the 412 hp Coyote engine, I will check into what would be less, trading in my 2010 or getting a supercharger for the 10.

That is if my daughter can find a job so I can quit paying for her house and car.

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. One thing that really cracked me up was when the temps would get to 0 or below, people would put a blanket over their engine to "keep it warm" so it would start in the morning. This was done at night, to a cold engine. I had even heard TV newscasters te...

Here in Texas they raised the tax on chewing tobacco by $1.22 per ounce. Each bag of it went up 3.66, which doubled the price. A box of 12 packs went up from $36 to 72. They say it is to pay doctors school bills if they promise to practice in rural areas. A 200 mile round trip to Okalhoma is cheaper...

I just got a new 10 Mustang GT coupe. Of the 8 Mustangs I have had since 66, this is the best. It is even quieter, handles better, and quicker than the 05 I had. The way they changed the dash makes it much nicer.

I worked at a couple gas stations in the 60's. Pumped the gas, checked the oil, if asked would check the tire pressures. Handed out the "Green Stamps". Had the "wad" of cash in my pocket to make change. For the few that would pay with a credit card, I had to go in the station and...

We didn't have a car show yesterday, but Jamie Foxx (he grew up here in Terrell) and the Governor were here. They had a big parade, then a "gathering" at the high school stadium. Traffic was a mess, I just wanted to go to the post office. I would have rather seen a car show, no matter how ...

I love the sound of piston powered aircraft. Growing up near Ohare airport, I got to see many throughout the early 50's. I loved seeing the DC3's and Constellation's. When jet powered passenger aircraft first came out, thier uniqueness, was interesting, but that wore out fast.

Back in the late 60's, the first time I called them to order parts they answered the phone with a loud and hardy "GRAYSHIT". I just hung up, thinking I had the wrong number. After checking and carefully calling back, I realized I must have got the right place. I still have the NOS 67 dual ...

Casey65, you would probably be surprised by many department policies. Many are made by Chiefs who have not been on the streets for many years, and with no common sense. Our Chief had a policy that all traffic crashes will result in a citation to the person most at fault. Although that sounds reasona...

Or, he could have handed the unsigned ticket to her and drove away. She would still have had to go to court. But, then he wouldn't have gotten to use one of his "toys" But then, he could have used his pistol and shot her... That would have subdued her forever... but she still wouldn't hav...

What people don't understand is that the taser is used to compell compliance, and does a very good job at that. There are other ways to do this, but they have other and longer lasting problems. OC usually works well, but the clean up may take 30 to 45 minutes. The baton works sometimes (not well on ...
