Re: Uni Build Unifarmer way
Hey guys, I have been able to get exactly zero work done on my truck. Life has been trying to run me over all year. I have not been able to get the front of the frame on so no pics(I will post if and when it happens). As far as the upper rear control arm contacting the frame, it does or did till I m...

Re: Change of Plans! For the Better?
I think that no matter the size of the shop it needs to be 100% yours. I am having to relocate myself after my father decided to start charging outrages rent. So the moral of the story for me is no "partners". If I can't build it for myself then I refuse to do it. IMHO

Re: Uni wheelbase
I moved the front foward 1 3/4 inches. I also moved the rear foward the same. the wheel base on my truck is still 114 inches. http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u559/uni-farmer/2013-07-21144903_zpsc7d42b47.jpg http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u559/uni-farmer/2013-07-21144914_zps4c33268c.jpg http...

There are very few hopper bottoms here. the coveyer trailer is king here. potatoes and sugar beets dont work well in hoppers. the cattle like the wilson trailer:)

The anvil display case and broken hammer handle may also be clues. Nice work!

Re: Mark VIII rear
I looked at the team 321 kit and is to low for my taste. I to have other things to do with $300+. So I decided to give it a try and build my own plates. I looked at several builds on the bumpside site and it looked doable. I had my hubs and rotors redrilled at a machine shop, it was cheaper then $30...

Re: Uni Build Unifarmer way
I was able to get the body on the frame. Im not exactly sure how much it will settle with a motor but this picture is with about 500lbs under the hood.

Re: Uni Build Unifarmer way
Randy, The plan was to put the stock frame horns back on. After looking at it today, I may just run some tubing to the front. The dakota frame widens and rises as it goes forward. I dont have a powerplant yet so I may wait till I know what that is to build anything. As far as the width goes I want i...

Uni Build Unifarmer way
I think that it may be time for a build thread. the plan is to mix the old with the newer. I have a 61 SWB small window uni, a '90 dakota frame clip, and a Cougar IRS. I dont have a power plant/trany yet. http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u559/uni-farmer/2012-11-29113316.jpg Here is the Truck. htt...

Another Newbie!!
Hey all, new to the registered side of the site, been lurking for some time. I bought another slick a few years ago and finally started to build. My first slick was 20 years ago and was a lot of fun so this i guess is round two. OK here is what it is, '61 SWB small window uni. I want to mix the old ...
