Re: rare and "original"360 FE

I know how you feel. There's a 65 swb with a window in the side of the 6 cylinder block, some floorboard rust and no title. I thought I'd buy it for around 500 for parts but almost fell on the ground when the guy told me how there was nothing wrong with it but the blown motor and missing title and t...

Re: Transmission interchange question.

I don't care about the driveline length at all. I have a driveline shop nearby that can make me a new one. If it will fit the bell and clutch splines I'm thrilled. Thanks a ton.

Transmission interchange question.

Hey guys I know it's a rookie question but I have a 66 with a bad 3 speed column shift manual transmission behind a 352. There is a guy locally that has a 74 ford 3 speed column shift manual transmission for sale cheap that works fine that was behind a 300 I6. I'm wondering if his transmission will ...

Re: need help on brake switch

I agree with Iceman. The pressure switch is easier. If you choose this option remember to install the switch between the master cylinder and the proportioning valve. That valve has residual pressure valves built in that keep a small amount of pressure in the lines so sometimes it interferes with the...

Re: need help on brake switch

If you have a proportioning valve with a single wire connector in it its usually for a warning light. Your brake switch always has to have a hot in and a wire to the turn signal switch out like a light switch in your house. You will either need to put a regular pressure switch in at the master cylin...

Re: 352 Heads...........Ughh!

Paul. I sincerely apologize for my misunderstanding. While I shouldn't be so touchy one reason I don't usually frequent forums is that I have been flamed on a couple for having an opinion that differs from whatever Guy seems to be the board alpha male. This forum seems to be the opposite of just abo...

Re: 352 Heads...........Ughh!

Now let me ask you this, Why do you hafta run this lead additive in your wifes 390? Because it fails to perform with regular straight unleaded fuel. Performance wont be as good without it. IMO Well Lets put it this way. I wasn't a ford guy until I started messing with her truck. I always had classi...

Re: 352 Heads...........Ughh!

How is running lead substitute and softer valve seats better for performance? My wife's 390 has unmodified heads on it and we run lead additive in it my 352 has hardened seats and its so nice to just get fuel and go. Were going to get her heads done with hardened seats soon.

Re: 352 Heads...........Ughh!

I wouldn't say pre-ignition. Looks like the stock induction hardened valve seats just sunk over the years from the lack of leaded fuel. The valves can only sink so car before they start hanging open and burn. Hardened exhaust seats and at least two new exhaust valves are in order. The rest of the v...

I know its not a slick but just for reference I hand built the mustang II based front suspension and triangulated 4 link in this. The setup will be very similar in my 66. Image

Yeah we do get down there. I'm going to air ride mine but I know what you mean about not caring for it. I have built several bagged trucks. I have a t bird IRS I was thinking of using but I changed my mind and am looking for a 9" to put in mine similar to your setup. I really like the look of y...
