Re: Ranger Registry
From a previous post of Michelle's.... I'm Chad and I have more Rangers in my list to add to the registry so I'd be glad to take over maintaining the list if the Admins give me rights to modify the thread. I'll see if I can contact one of them. Chad --------------------------------------------------...

Re: Ranger Seats : Bostrom & Etc.?
1961 through at least 1979. My books stop at 1979 and I've never looked at the 1980 and newer stuff. They could have been special ordered in any 100 through 1000 series but odds were better they would be in the larger trucks just due to the need from the rougher ride. They also didn't initially have...

Re: Ranger Seats : Bostrom & Etc.?
Here's a link to the patent that Bostrom filed for the Viking T-Bar suspension seat. If you look at the drawings you can probably see there are a lot of parts to these seats. They even have grease zerks. The seat design performs well at all angles so if you think of a bulldozer on a steep slope the ...

Re: Ranger Seats : Bostrom & Etc.?
I got mine out of a 1966 F600 dump truck. They are serial number consecutive. I found one of Bostroms distributors that had two sets of foams and skins so I bought those. Typically installed in 500 series and larger trucks. A buddy that lives just north of me has the same in his T850 tandem axle tru...

Re: Ranger Seats : Bostrom & Etc.?
1965 Rangers used 1965 Mustang Standard (i.e. not Pony) bucket seats. Likewise 1966 Rangers used 1966 Mustang Standard bucket seats. There were Bostrom seats available as options but not typically installed in a Ranger. The most common was the Bostrom Viking T-bar. This was a Torsion Bar type of sus...

I see there are two threads running - link to the other one so you can see pictures I post to that thread. Also the bulletin mentioned by fire704 is the same as above.

I'll post pictures of another one. This one was found in a junk yard in Oklahoma. https://hosting.photobucket.com/albums/uu85/TA455HO/1964%20Sports%20Package/.highres/2_zpsugzztydu.jpg?width=960&height=720&fit=bounds https://hosting.photobucket.com/albums/uu85/TA455HO/1964%20Sports%20Package...

Oh, yes they did mistype the engine in the ad - they wrote 232 but it is a 223.

Re: Ranger pickups
Would you by any chance have a picture of one of those 1964 XL Package pickups? Here's a link to one that sold at auction. I have others if you want to see more but this is by far the nicest one. Fairly original looking but obviously repainted and tailgate is the newer 1967-1972 style. https://www....

Re: 1965 to 1966 Ranger pickups
Here's an early release original factory press photo. 1965 truck with Ranger package. Console has a slightly different lid with the race track trim on the top rather than the single strip down the middle. I have not seen this top on a Falcon Sprint before but it's not the first time I've seen it on ...

Re: 1965 to 1966 Ranger pickups
The Rangers with the actual Trim codes that specify buckets seats in 1965 (F81, G81 and H81) didn't seem to appear at the beginning of 1965 production. The oldest by sequence number that I have documented is a 657115 (G81) number which was March, 1965 well into the 1965 production cycle that would h...

Re: 1965 to 1966 Ranger pickups
Does anyone know what car line the center console that was used with the Ranger Package came from? It looks like the 1964 Falcon Sprint console. Would that be correct? Also was the air conditioner for the '65 and '66 pickups factory installed or dealer installed? The console is similar to the 1964 ...

Re: Ranger pickups
I can probably help with info, too. The XL package was introduced in 1964 and there are a few of those trucks around. We've come up with about 5 from 1964. Then they officially named it the Ranger package for 1965.

Re: ford f250 camper special ranger H81 chassis plate photo
Here's some info. I got swatches from SMS Auto Fabrics. ND has the original swatches in his books, but he is not on this site and he doesn't have a way to post pictures of those swatches. Click on this link to read more. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1464298-1964-f100-custom-cab-original-seat-co...

Re: Ranger Information
Thanks Danny. I sent the seller a message through CL asking for a picture of the warranty plate and one of the interior. We shall see what that nets.

I suspect this one on Michelle's list is the same. I believe the 331 is correct as this is the truck in New Zealand owned by yargnitram.

Michelle - this is the correct VIN for the one 732072 on your list. The 7 should be a 1, otherwise I believe you have this one.kjvforme wrote:1966 F100 F10AR732012 Aug-65 San Jose 129 240 Cruise 2 Red/Wht Ranger V81

Re: Ranger Information
Here's shots of my truck and the interior and warranty plate. Max was planning to repaint the truck. He'd started sanding the front clip and roof and tried to pry (!) the plate off since he didn't know how the rivets work. Anyway, I'm glad he didn't succeed or he might have lost the plate completely...

Re: Ranger Information
You might get a kick out of this. I have a "U.S." oriented 1966 Ford Light Truck Facts For Combination Salesmen book and a "Canada" oriented 1966 Ford and Mercury Trucks book. Most of the information in the Canadian version is straight from the U.S. version. The outside front cov...
