351w pulley problems reviseted
Some of you may or may no have seen a previous post of mine about pulleys for a 351w. My main problem is I'm using a 4 bolt crank balancer and a D00E - C crank pulley. I have both 2 3/8 and 2 3/4 deep water pump pulleys. The 2 3/4 pulley is about 1/8 inch to deep to match up to the crank pulley. I w...

Re: Balnkity blank Speedway phone number
Spark, in the past I have dealt with Speedway, with good results but it has been awhile. Try buying something from a company you cannot contact and you don't live next door to, and when called you can't get hold of anyone. If you unload your crap on me I will do the same for you. I even tried buying...

Balnkity blank Speedway phone number
Was going to order some parts from Speedway, so I called the number in their book. I instantly got B.S. and B.S., and finally gave up and hung up. A-holes.

Re: Window crank knob
The pin in the back is a press fit, and hard to get off as you have noticed. It has ridges on the pin that are tapered towards it's end so it can go in easily but not come back out. Wondering why you want to take the knobs off?

Re: Manual Transmission Upgrade -- Seeking Input
World class is better and started about 85, but torque and horsepower ratings for the early models are low. Highest rating is in 94/5 I believe , something like 305 hp. rated, if I remember right. Buying a used T5 can be tricky and count on it needing work. If, you do your own work and make a couple...

Michelle, I have heard several members on different site's posting comments about these problems. Yours is the first post I've seen with specifics on pricing. Greed has again cropped up on the internet. I have trouble looking for things on the internet, this did not happen a few years ago. The adds ...

Ashtrays are easy to come by and I should have several if all years are the same. Shipping is the killer on the ashtray as it is on everything else these days, and most likely will cost about 12$ to mail priority mail. Send me 15$ and I will send you a good one, just make sure all years are the same...

Re: Speedometer glass anti squeek seal.
The gooey mess is I believe what is left of the rubber that was originally there. Most likely few of you have seen old rubber turn to this kind of mess. Or, if you have seen it before may not have known what it was. Tires used to do this before vulcanizing. The vulcanizing process was a big deal whe...

Speedometer glass anti squeek seal.
Goes between glass and bezel on the round speedometer. Tried looking for this seal in both parts books and aftermarket parts books and have found nothing. I've made these before and believe the originals were made from rubber as nearly every one I've looked at the rubber has turned in to a gooey mas...

Re: Do y'all make your own battery cables?
My local parts house has premade extra heavy duty cables in different lengths that are not expensive but I only use these on my trucks , haven't used any on a car.

Those are an SOB to get off, so most likely will be costly. I may have one here in Illinois, but will have to look at it to see if it is as good as you need.

Re: door weatherstripping that fits
At one time, LMC door rubbers were junk and not usable, I have not idea if this is still true, but LMC is in my consideration middle of the road quality and I only use their products when I have to. I have used Carpenters exclusively and had few if any problems. I believe any problems you have shoul...

Re: Front axle swap?
Thanks Ice, how about power steering conversion? My truck has the old main drag link with the spring and adjusting screw which with big tires tend to be a little sloppy. Any info on what I can replace the drag link with and still use the original box?

Front axle swap?
My 66 4x4 is in need of better brakes on the front and I have been thinking about disc brake conversion, for which there is a kit fro roughly 750$ on Evilbay. However, I also need one seal replaced and who knows what else. Wondering if there is a later front end from a Bronco or truck with disc brak...

Yep, just another poor farmer. Sullivan auctions has a poor farmer auction listed in Iowa. You should check it out. Ever see a pile of antique kids pedal cars before, or a pile of kids ride trains, not to mention over 100 convertable's in the sale. You have my sympathy working on problems in the sun...
