Re: 1965 F100 Front Bed Panel Style Side

Rick is good guy and knows our trucks. Don't forget the front bed panel comes with the front cross member also. Price is not so bad, if you think about what it costs to do the dies and have these made. I will say this is a limited production item so price will be what it is now and possibly more lat...

I talked to Rick yesterday about his bed panels and he has already sold his first run, and will get his second run in sometime after Christmas.

Re: Did a search for information on kickdown linkage and fo

Thanks for the response's. Seems like I have a kickdown Lokar cable I was not impressed with laying around here somewhere. I had not installed it as I have not finished the truck it was bought for. May be a good time to mess with it. For the money it looked like a ripoff to me, as you have to build ...

Did a search for information on kickdown linkage and found

390 C6 install with aluminum intake and 1 inch carb spacer. I've found a couple of problems . One the rod hits the firewall protrusion. Second how critical is this adjustment on a C6? How much does it have to move to work correctly?

Re: Power steering box differences

I have both power steering brackets and manual. What is strange, is that on my grandsons truck I could use the standard one with the power steering unit and on my 66 I had to modify the power steering one to make everything fit up right, but as I said I had modified the holes so the box would rotate...

Re: Power steering box differences

I ended up relieving the holes in the frame, which I will have to address by welding 1/8 inch plate over the outside holes. Not certain what I have to do with the inside holes, maybe nothing. All in all, the obvious problem is the angle of the box and column, so that it lines up without strain on th...

Re: Power steering box differences

Good information but not helpful in what I need. I have two different boxes that mount the same but one endsup way hihger and requires the power steering clamp bracket while the other does not. It seems to me, that the box I havemounted is larger in some ways than the other box I installed. I have n...

Power steering box differences

I bought a rebuilt power steering box for a 75 F100 to use on my 66. I tried installing the column yesterday, and nothing fitting the way I thought it should. I had installed a power steering box on my grandsons truck with no problems. I did not have any problems on his truck and actually used the b...

Re: Decent drivers front fender wanted, whats one worth?

What is one worth? I would say an approximate price would e around 100 to 150 for a good used one, but that doesn't mean much it's just an opinion. You are not to far from Oklahoma City where you can buy a new one for roughly 300$, plus gas and the penalty for going into Oklahoma and then having to ...

Re: Looking for a running FE

I'm in southern Illinois down by Evansville and have a 360 in my driver that runs, uses oil etc.. Actually, I think it blows out more than it uses. Will not come with any accessories nor the distributor but have one that can go with it for 250. Or, I have a rebuilt long block for 1400$ No intake wit...

Re: has to be the hottest trip ever

Tom has my sympathy. When on a buying trip there is no down time if you can help it. Every day on the road is costly. It takes a lot of money to take a day off when on a buying trip. Money going out and none coming in. I've been there, I know what it takes. For everyday you don't buy it will take mo...

Re: Making power out of a 302

Cam, dual plane intake good exhaust. This will get you close to where you want to be. That being said, 351w starts where a 302 ends up and would have been a better choice of engine to start with if you wanted power. Then again, if you want real power, but not on a budget big block is where to go, bu...
