Re: Trans and Ignition Questions
Thanks for the reply Steve; I am a shade tree guy myself. I have an oil pan gasket kit and a Best rear main rope seal, going to tackle that soon and see if it helps. Did you do it with the engine in the truck and get the top half of the seal in above the crank? I want to rebuild the trans and get a ...

Trans and Ignition Questions
Hello Everyone, I just got my F100 back running after 2 years chasing ignition and fuel problems (got discouraged and let it sit.) So I'm going to get it driving again. I have a few questions for those more familiar with these old trucks, as I've only ever worked on my truck. I don't have much exper...

Re: Phenolic Spacer for an Autolite 2100
I ended up ordering one off of Ebay that someone on Yblocksforever found. It's for a 2300 but it should work. I appreciate you looking though.

Phenolic Spacer for an Autolite 2100
Hello,
My phenolic spacer for my Autolite 2100 cracked. I can't find the right kind on the internet. Does anyone have one they can part with?

Re: Truck keeps shutting off
So I ordered a coil and am in the middle of rebuilding the carb. When I pulled it off the phenolic spacer cracked. Can't find the right replacement anywhere. Holley makes a similar one but according to some guys on FTE it causes vacuum leaks. Anyone know where I can get one?

Re: Truck keeps shutting off
Thanks for the input. I also did new cap and plug wires. Does anyone think it could be the coil or something? I'm going to buy a fuel cap to eliminate that and do a carb rebuild (it's been a couple of years.) If that doesn't get it i'll try a new electric pump. That seems unlikely because it does th...

Truck keeps shutting off
Maybe someone can help diagnose my problem. All summer I've been having problems with the truck randomly shutting off going down the road; and then it won't restart unless it sits for hours. It started when I changed from an electric fuel pump to a carter mechanical pump. Got it towed home once or t...

Speedway Disc Conversion
I've been looking but can't find what an answer. Has anyone that's done the speedway disc brake kit tell me if the stock wheels and innie hub caps work with the rotors they supply? I like the look of the bottle caps and would hate to give them up. Thanks in advance.

Incredibly solid truck, good work on the bed. Did you save what you cut out? I could use some patches!

Re: maybe i'm missing something...
problem is it's a 1964 truck and it had the style gear in it when i removed the existing speedometer cable. i had a thread about that too. don't know if it's a 64 trans and a PO installed the wrong type of gear or if it's a 62 trans and it requires that gear. guess i'll just order the newer style ge...

Re: 64 f100 "seabiscut"
no more points. went with the accel 2020 kit. install was brainless and it really improved how the truck ran. went with this kit over the pertronix because i saw some negative reviews and most suggested you run a pertronix coil. the accel works with stock coils (although my dad is giving me his bare...

Re: 64 f100 "seabiscut"
i've been donig a lot of little stuff. painted the whole chassis in rust encapsualtor, repainted the wheels, working on surface rust in the cab. driving it daily lately because my DD is down right now. so driving to work at 3am yesterday all the lights go out and the truck dies. i coast over to the ...

Re: speedometer cable questions
mine has a plug type thing that pops in the trans and has a little o ring to seal it and no threads on it so i guess it is supposed to be held on by a clip. so i i know i need that kind of cable, just confused on the different ends. they aren't expensive i might just order both
