Re: Wheels - need to upgrade
I had to switch rear axles and no longer have the Dana 60. Back to all 5 x 5.5 spacing. Might give me more options now with wheel choices once I figure out offset and backspacing for the front and rear. Any recommendations? would like to add a little color to this truck to give this faded Marlin Blu...

Bonyard Recommendations 4WD F100
Hi. It looks like I've run into a temporary problem on my 1965 F100 4wd project. State (NH) wont let it pass inspection unless I have a working parking brake I researched the 8 lug rear axle that was installed on this F100 and it appears to be a Dana 60 (C 30255) and the backing plates and brakes do...

Wheels - need to upgrade
I’m working on a 65 4WD. F100. At some time in its life, the rear axle was switched and a F250 8 lug 3/4 ton axle was installed. Want to dress up the old chrome wheels and replace. Tires are 235 75 R15’s. I need a good source that sells nice looking rims for these tires but they need to match becaus...

Re: Swapping out an FE 360
Good point. How often is it pulling? Not very often. And, the Shasta trailer is very lightweight. It’s a little guy. Think I now know the solution. Keep the 1965 360 for pulling, and get the 300-6 finished for the dirt, dogs, manure and grocery runs.

Re: Swapping out an FE 360
thanks to each of for weighing in. I would have guessed the consensus would have been to dump the 360... so this is good information for me.

Swapping out an FE 360
Working on a 65 Slick 4x4 with Style side bed. My 62 parts truck came with a (perhaps mid-80's) 300 inline with new Performance HEI distributor, coil, and other doo dads that come with it. Don't have any history on either of these engines but both seem clean and strong. My questions are this: For to...

Re: Leaf Springs
I just went outside and counted 6 springs on each side. 1962 f100 4WD. Atypical or incorrect to have different number of springs on each side. Unless PO was trying to inccorrectly adjust for a sag or other issue on one side. If that’s the case there are other issues going on from a bent frame, bad s...

1962 bench seat foam
Looking for recommendations on how to best replicate the foam for the bottom bench seat. Or links to people who have done this. Or, if you have restored this bench seat - how did you do it? 1962 standard cab 4WD. Thank you. Tom

Yeah you are right there. Seems like when you have it all licked something else comes up out of the blue and sends you backwards a step or two.

Re: 1961 f100 vs f250?
Was thinking about a snowplow for the 62 f100 4wd. Other than that, I don’t expect any other heavy duty use. Was wondering if I should add to the suspension? Such as additional leaf or if the 3/4 ton springs would fit on the f100 frame.
