Re: Avery's truck 'The Loud One 2.0'
That will be an amazing project for the both of you! I feel like the memories as well as the truck will be a great way to spend time with your daughter. Keep being a dad man! It’s the best job any man can have.

Re: BlackTruck Build 65
That color is great! I love dark metallic colors. I need to look at that flaring tool, I like the idea of an all in one flare tool. Is it pretty easy to use? You asked about wiring suggestions in the beginning of your thread. After a lot of research, I plan on using a 9+3 kit from Rebel wire (I have...

April, glad you made it back safe! Thanks for your service! Yes, these are strange times we are in. I’m not sure how much has changed when you got home, but I’d imagine it would be like walking into a dystopian future.

Re: gas tank
If it looks pretty good with just surface rust like you say, I wouldn’t seal it. Pour some evaporust in and treat it. That stuff is pretty awesome and not that expensive.

Awesome job April!!! All of that hard work is paying off! I’m not sure of the tube material or flaring tool, but is there a chance that it is cracking at the flare? I’ve seen that happen before even though it looks good until it’s torqued down. The crack spreads open and leaks.

Bill, hopefully the videos and drawings will show you what you can remove and what is essential to run. In upcoming videos I will remove more unneeded wiring as well as adding the relays. Hope you watch and get some ideas/ information. Ask away if you need anything.

Re: How to convert the Ford 5.0 EFI harness into a stand alo
Thanks Dean for the reply. I link to a couple of places for drawings and useful information in my descriptions. The fact that Ford changed colors, even mid model year can muddy things up. Knowing which pins the wiring goes is the most important I guess.

April, if you don’t mind me asking, can you tell me where you got that wire loom at? It looks much nicer than the solid black that I have seen. It’s a loom but no side opening. Think Chinese finger trap. I bought on eBay I think. It’s been well over a year since I bought it. I know the type, but ha...

Progress! And although you're creeped out by the snake, the black snakes will keep mice (rodents) out of your house...of course, you don't want it in the house either! I don't know if you saw my post on JeffinMooresville's thread about the hood bolt, but I was wondering if you could get your mig we...

How to convert the Ford 5.0 EFI harness into a stand alone
I have a 66 F100 that I am putting a 86-93 5.0 HO in with the mass air EFI. I balked at paying several hundred for an aftermarket efi harness. I searched hi and low for someone who has converted the factory harness. There is a lot of talk about doing it, but no documentation of said conversion. Ther...

April, I’m sure you have been very busy. I love the marine fuse block you used. They really let you tidy up the wiring. Congratulations on being cancer free! Thanks for your service also.

April to me that’s not enough money, but you made the agreement. To me you shouldn’t sell your skills for less than $35 hr. I know many think of this differently with the overhead of business, but make sure you are being fairly compensated for your time. Just my two cents.

Re: Working a side job
How long did you work on the boat? $100 seems cheap if you spent any amount of time on it. My trade is electrical/HVAC, I could work as much side work as my extra time would allow. I charge about half what contractors charge around here and do about twice to work. An HVAC service call is $100-$120 a...
