Re: Manual to Power Steering Upgrade
Paul, I described it as best I could. Basically, the pulley on my 352 is a pulley/harmonic balancer combination unit. There is not a balancer with pulley bolted to it as on later FE engines. If you can find a dual groove pulley to sell me that would be awesome. What I have noticed is that many of th...

Re: Manual to Power Steering Upgrade
Banjo, The gentleman I bought the parts from wasn't able to part with the engine perch either. Since he is looking to sell the engine he needs to leave the perch in the truck so he can start the engine. I have asked him to contact me when he sells the motor and I will go back then to grab the perch....

Re: Manual to Power Steering Upgrade
Good News! I found a gentleman about 60 miles from me who is parting out a 72 F250 2WD with 360. I found him on Craigs and gave him a buzz. Asked him if he would like to part with the powering steering parts and we made a deal. I got the pump, bracket, steering box with pitman arm, and the lines. I ...

Re: Manual to Power Steering Upgrade
Hey Guys! Thanks for the fast and thorough response, especially banjopicker! So my plan is to scour the local junk yards for a proper donor. Hopefully I will find a complete donor F100 with the FE engine. I will be able to exchange my pulled parts as cores for new parts (pump, steering box) and use ...

Manual to Power Steering Upgrade
Merry Christmas Folks! This is my second Christmas with Bernadette (my 66 F100 has a name, as all good trucks should). We hung our anniversary bulb on the tree a couple weeks ago. So Bernadette is at the shop getting an alignment because I recently completed the upgrade from manual drums to manual f...

Re: M/C Question
So, I got the adjustable pushrod installed into the rebuilt M/C yesterday. Taking the original rod out of the M/C was a serious pain in the butt. I will never again install a pushrod without doing some measuring first. The setup looks like it should work well. I also started plumbing the new lines. ...

Re: M/C Question
Mr. Jones, I am currently working on a 73 to 66 front disc swap on my slick. I am using a rebuilt, 73, two pot, manual M/C from NAPA. The rod that came with the M/C is about an inch to long for my original 66 pedals. So I was looking around online and found this adjustable push rod from John's Musta...

Hahaha, that "slick" is demolished. Looks like they got it into the crusher then changed their mind! Definitely worth the effort to view this one. I laughed out loud!

Re: Another possible way to lower a twin I beam?
Thanks for the shout out Paul. I have been hanging around the outside of this forum for a year and a half since I bought my 66. Decided to join when I started my current project, an upgrade to 73 discs and master cylinder. This is gonna be a learning experience for me. Really cool to have a talk wit...

Re: Another possible way to lower a twin I beam?
Be careful cutting coil springs. I did this with my 66 F100 with 352 V8. Someone correct me if I am wrong but the coils may be different lengths because 352's were slightly offset to the right (pass. side). The right coil is a bit longer to compensate for the extra weight of the motor. If you have a...

Re: GT500 Wheels For My Project 63
Gonna look real tough! I can't wait to see the finished product. Keep us posted! What motor are you running? Are you gonna do the CV Swap with motor and front clip installed?
