I used an -6AN banjo bolt fitting on the Saginaw pump for my 390. I was adding power steering to my 66 truck and the oil pressure sending unit was real close to the back of the pump.

The kit below is called a Mustang II rack kit and has the same -6AN banjo bolt that I used.

He used Brad Penn oil, not sure of the weight. He told me to add ZDDP before starting it for break in.

I'll order an oil pressure gauge when I return my headers and try your suggested steps next weekend.
