Re: 61 F250 4x4 on auction

Curious to see what it will go for as well. Picture quality isn't real high, but seems like it's been repainted in some spots.

61 F250 4x4 on auction

Here's a nice one for someone - wish I had room for it. Central Minnesota Ford guy having an auction. I probably shouldn't encourage bidding competition for all the other stuff I'm looking at, but would like to see someone in this group get this so I can see it at Slickstock 2020. Re: 64 Power Steering build question

I used an -6AN banjo bolt fitting on the Saginaw pump for my 390. I was adding power steering to my 66 truck and the oil pressure sending unit was real close to the back of the pump.

The kit below is called a Mustang II rack kit and has the same -6AN banjo bolt that I used.

Re: What's happening?

Several months ago I ran to Springfield Mo and picked up a Dana 60 with a 3.07 ratio. I have been told that these are rare in the 3.07 ratio, and that they don't fit slicks or bumps. I managed to remove the original spring perches last weekend, and have since tacked in new ones. I'll find out in the...

Re: Parts Hauling

Throw a passenger side fender in that long bed and drive straight north on I-35 until you get to Minneapolis - can't find any decent ones around here. Maybe we could post items we have to sell/trade and coordinate pickup/dropoff times near the route you'd be travelling. Wish I were retired - it coul...

Re: Hydroboost

What are you using for hydraulic hoses and power steering pump? I've got a saginaw pump, but did not get a dual return reservoir. I'm hoping that's not a problem. I bought a high pressure braided hose kit with AN fittings and adapters for the Saginaw pump and steering gear - I hope to install those ...

Re: 66 F250 project

Long overdue update - I started my 390 last night for the first time in order to do the cam break-in. No leaks so far, hoping it stays that way. It sounded sweet even with a mild cam and running with the original exhaust manifolds to a single pipe. Can't wait to hear it with headers and dual exhaust...

Re: Photos without photobucket

I did a bit of reading on the software that runs this site "phbBB". I have to admit it was hard to figure out exactly what is possible. Someone smarter than me would have to look into it. That company does run a forum. Does anyone here belong to a board where photos can be posted directly...

April, I'm always impressed by how much work you get done in a single post and the quality of the work you do! I've had my 390 in my truck for a few months and I'm just now ready to put the front clip back on - you did it all in one day!?! btw - I noticed you're using postimage.org for to host your ...

Re: Photobucket

I'm not sure what the hosting arrangement is for the slick60s.com forum, but it may be possible to migrate the Photobucket images to a local server and simply redirect all the photobucket.com image links there. This assumes that the member here want their images moved and for them to be accessible f...

Re: 390 Build

For what you are paying for the Hedman ceramics, you could have a set of Sanderson ceramic huggers that would give you clearance. I believe when I ditch the exhaust logs, I will be getting a set of the Sandersons. I think that's the direction I'm going. I hate to send these back because I think the...

Re: 66 F250 project

I got my NP435 installed today - it wasn't much fun trying it alone, and only a little more fun with 2 people. http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w495/coreypuchalski/F250/1E486C75-E0FE-4E79-8EE2-98B6C968EF15_zpsbd63juqp.jpg The clutch action feels much lighter than my original. Re: 390 Build

I was hopeful when I opened the Hedman box and saw that the headers were wrapped in some cushioning. http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w495/coreypuchalski/F250/F7C831BA-2708-4DD7-91AE-80F57ABA9B7D_zpsa5wnrvr7.jpg That didn't last long when I took the first header out of the box and saw the same sc...

Re: 390 Build

I think I know what happened with my original set of Hedman headers. Jegs sent me someone else's rejects. I thought it odd that it would be shipped in a plain brown box with only crumpled paper to protect the headers. Here's how they come from Hedman. http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w495/coreypu...

Re: 66 F250 project

390 is in place, now I'm just waiting for my replacement headers to arrive. Should I wait until I have the trans and front clip installed before torquing the front suspension parts, or is the engine weight sufficient to take care of any binding problems? http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w495/core...

Re: 390 Build

Obviously, from what you are describing of your build, you have not given any consideration to quench. May or may not make any difference to you on your build, and as anything you do, costs more to accomplish. From what little I've studied the subject, it has some to do with overall performance. He...

Re: 390 Build

He used Brad Penn oil, not sure of the weight. He told me to add ZDDP before starting it for break in.

I'll order an oil pressure gauge when I return my headers and try your suggested steps next weekend.

Thanks for the help!
