Re: 1961 F100 Unibody SWB Project
Lots of lookers!!! More info :D The bed and doors were blasted so there is nothing hiding under the primer. 1961 F100 Unibody SWB Project SOLD
1961 SWB ford unibody truck. I started off with this as a project for myself but it is time to let it go. The truck has no motor or trans in it. The front fenders and doors are rust free, the bed is nice and is not rusted out at the front where they usually are. The floors, cab mounts, steps will ne...

Re: Slick Stock 8 Information REVISED!
I did a goggle search for the "four points by Sheridan in KC" and it shows a sport complex by the stadiums and one but the airport. Can someone tell me which one it is? I am coming for the day Saturday.
Thanks

Re: Dana 44 19 spline to 30 spline conversion?
I just went through this on my 66 Jeep cj5 with a Dana 44. I had previously purchased a 19 spline power lok for it. I then found a 30 spline heaver duty 44 rear axle. Here is what you need to do to make it work. Not sure what your spline count is but this sequence should be the same for different sp...

Re: 1966 4x4 LWB Future project!!!
The SWB 4x4 I bought about 7 yrs ago and got some of the work done on it and put in the back while I worked on my wife's car 66 mustang coupe. It is done now so the father/son project with his 61 Unibody Short bed is now under way (well at lest moved to the garage from the back). When we get some wo...

Re: fuel gauge issues
Not sure if the helps but had a similar problem with my old jeep. The tank sits against the body and was not getting a good ground the gauge would show a reading but it was not right . I bought a new sending unit and it read the same. I had to run a separate wire to the tank to ground it to the body...

Re: 1966 4x4 LWB Future project!!!
Since who knows when I will get started on it if it looks better it will get me more enthused. Now it's time to start gathering parts here and there. They are always easier to find when u don't need them. I have always liked the 4x4's. Since my first slick in about 1980!! . Now it can rest in dignit...

Re: 1966 4x4 LWB Future project!!!
Couldn't stand looking at the curled up / rusty fenders so changed them out with the set I got with the truck. Had to put a little rattle can primer on them the baby blue was not gona pass!!! Dug around and found a bumper that was straighter than the one that was on it. Gave it a bath and it looks m...

Re: 1966 4x4 LWB Future project!!!
Well decided to do some basic maintenance before I put it up. Change the oil/ filter, plugs and rebuilt the carb. Figured that who knew when the last time the antifreeze was changed. Drained the radiator and then pulled the lower hose off and saw there was oil in it !!!!! Probably a bad head gasket....

Re: Disc brakes on a 66 4x4
My 66's both 1/2 ton are open knuckles. My 66 Jeep CJ5 has closed knuckles on it. I use John Deere " cornhead grease" in them it seems to work well and doesn't leak as bad as other things. Just visit your local John Deere store comes in a grease tube. They guys on the Jeep forums recommend...
