Your catalytic converter (and the pipe in front of it) should be emissions warranty covered for 8yrs/80,000 mi.
If it's a welded assembly, you may luck out and get it and a muffler free! Worth a try...

Just started a 1969 T-850 project; any chance you have access to a 69 Body Builders Layout Book?
I see some '66 pages, which would be the same cab/sheet metal, and would also be very useful.
Any possibility of getting a scan or copy? Can't find anywhere else...

Stock angle is 4.66 degrees...its on those frame dimension sheets, but hard to pick out.

I had the same interference on my '66 PS conversion... I just installed hardened/Grade 8 washers between the frame and the front 2 steering box mounting pads; figured that was better than preloading the casting - there's bound to be some amount of flex in the frame rails and didn't want it binding a...
