Re: FYI another Aftermarket hood hinge available...
Hood hinge rebuilding was recently discussed on another forum, the most notable rebuilder Wilson Auto Parts in VA has stopped rebuilding slick hinges (I sent them mine and they returned them 4 months later and they hadn't been touched). If any member knows of any other shop that provides this servic...

Re: Hydroboost on the cheap
Update I replaced the hydroboost unit and everything is working as it should. I started with an Astro Van Unit and this unit was from a 1/2 ton Chevy. The later required shortening the pedal rod and moving the brake pedal 3/8" closer to the steering column. I stuck with the chevy because the ma...

Re: Hydroboost on the cheap
100% on the lines being correct, both return lines flow into a cooler then back to the tank. I'm going with a mustang HB and master cylinder in the next week or so.

Re: Hydroboost on the cheap
On my 62 Unibody i used a rebuilt hydroboost for a 95 Astro Van,swapped the mounting plate from the OEM master cylinder and bolted on a Right Stuff 1-1/8 bore master cylinder. I have a crown vic swap with a T45 manual transmission. My brake peddle is hard but I am getting no boost assist, with the s...

What brand spot weld cutter are you using? Look like a rota broach but never seen one with a center drill in it.

I am looking for the width of the tailgate opening for a 61 F100 Unibody. Width at the bottom and width at the top. I'm thinking it should be 67 and something inches.
Thanks

Re: Dennis Carpenter Unibody Tailgates
Old thread but on topic...I'm not impressed with the tailgate but I am with DC service. I ordered the tailgate during a promotion and it sat for in the box for a couple of months and when I opened it had a dent in the top. I called customer service and they said it was on the shipper but they sent a...

Re: CROWN VIC SWAP INNER FENDER TRIM
I've cut and flattened 2 drivers inners but haven't finished. I found my core support too bent to line the fenders up. Got another core support under way this weekend. When I get done I'll post photos.

Re: Best setup for rear tank with fuel injected 5.4 Modular
http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=114/category_id=63/mode=prod/prd114.htm Chevy has some side fill tanks. I tried the 49-52 tank but the filler was 1" below the frame rail and fuel pump lined up with a brace on my uni bed. That was without moving the rear frame cro...

Clutch / Brake Peddle Interchange 64 to 65
I am installing a late 90's clutch Mustang cable set-up in my 61 Uni and I saw a photo of a 65 clutch and brake peddle assemby and it looks like it might be slightly less work to install the cable quadrant on than my 61. Are the holes in the firewall and the dash the same from 61-65?
Thanks

Frame question
I have a 62 unibody under going a CV swap and I getting ready to mount the control arm bracket to the frame. On the drivers side the lower frame flange is bent down under where the steering box was mounted. Is this a factory bend or a prior owner thing? Lets see if this picture link works. Thanks ht...

Re: Crown Vic Swap T-45 or TR-3650?
I picked up a T-45 over the weekend. I saw a thread over at FTE of someone who listed a T-45 in a Slick and PM him for clutch info but haven't heard back yet.

Crown Vic Swap T-45 or TR-3650?
I don't see much information here as to which is preferred. From what I read the T-45 used a cable clutch and the TR3650 use a hydraulic. Either way I go might have to use the peddles from a Mustang. Anyone have more info?

2 Master Cylinders On Firewall
I purchased this cab from Desert Motors in AZ and I thought it had a hydraulic clutch but on closer examination it has 2 brake master cy.linders a single and dual. Can you actually use a dual circuit master cylinder to operate a clutch?

Re: 61 Unibody Rocker
Rich is correct I need the part under the step. I found another post that discussed after market rockers and it said they were shorter than original. The original was a stamped part and the after market looks to be roll formed.

61 Unibody Rocker
I need to replace the end 6" (past the latch piller) of the drive side rocker panel due to crash damage. I have looked at the after market parts and they show the rocker panel to be 37.5" long and the full rocker length on the Uni is closer to 47". Does anyone make the correct rockers...

What are you using for sealer? In my opinion epoxy is the best sealer and metal primer.
