Door hinge pin repair options on '66 F100 4x4
Hey all, I'd like to get rid of the slop in my driver's side door hinges. I've read through quite a few of the archived posts about door hinge pin replacements, but I just want to confirm my understanding. I believe the old pins can be pressed (or punched) out from the bottom and that the reinforcin...

That's pretty darn cool! I don't imagine there's much that is original '66 F100 except the cab, doors, and hood though...

Re: Advice wanted for finicky hydraulic lifters
Hey BarnieTrk, No, I haven't had the time to investigate any further yet... if it's nice this weekend I'll likely pull the truck out and see how much noise the lifters make or don't make. I think I may take some of the advice given about putting some sort of cleaning additive in and then change the ...

I agree with the comments above - I think the new wheels/tires look really good and fill out the wheel wells much better.

Advice wanted for finicky hydraulic lifters
Hi all, I'm about ready to pull my hair out due to the inconsistent behavior of my hydraulic lifters and could really use some advice. The engine is a pretty standard stroker - 390 bored 0.030 over and stroked via a 4.250" Scat stroker crank for a total displacement of 445 cubic inches. Oiling ...

Re: 1961 f100 4x4
going have to find a steering box the shaft is broke that goes to the steering wheel I might put power steering on it instead that is not an easy task, much easier to find a replacement column from another 61-66 4x4 f350 or f500 I have the old steering box and shaft out of my '66 F100 4x4 (I put po...

Re: New wheels & tires for my old girl...
Hey BarnieTrk,
I actually had it out for a roll on Friday night. I got my rockers adjusted the night before and took it for a wash and some fresh petrol. The new wheels and tires feel great... i gave the rear ones a couple good rotations just for good measure!
Cheers,
Dion

Re: New wheels & tires for my old girl...
Did you change your springs? I know your truck already appeared higher than stock. I was unable to fit the 33x10's due to rubbing on the inner fender on hard turns with the standard zero offset wheels, but yours looks considerably higher than most of the '66 F100 4x4s. Paul I can't say for sure Pau...

Re: after market headliner
Is there a one piece option???
FYI, I was able to get a headliner from Blaine at RodDoors a few years back even after they had closed their doors. I'll send you a PM with his email address in case he's still making parts out of his basement or whatever.
Cheers,
Dion

New wheels & tires for my old girl...
Good day all! I'm hoping some new wheels & tires are the shot in the arm that I need to get back at my Slick... pardon me for the dusty truck and messy workbench: http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/yy9/qwertyd10n/1966%20F100%204x4/New%20Wheels%20and%20Tires/IMAG0402_zpskuqoqdf8.jpg http://i772.p...

Re: Slicks on slicks
That's way cool Mark! Makes me want to make a trip north some Wednesday or Friday... :) I've been pretty quiet on the truck front for a while now, but I seem to have been bitten again as I'm in the middle of selling my old wheels/tires and re-shoeing the old girl with some new shiny bits. I'll post ...

Normal ride height for '66 F100 4x4?
Hi all, I read one of Anthony's recent posts about the ride height each of the Slicks in his family sits at and it got me thinking about my truck a little. I've been asked numerous times since I bought it if my truck is lifted at all, but I don't think it has been. Iceman told me the blocks under th...

Visual wheel/rim selector for our trucks?
Hey all,
I thought I remembered someone posting a link to a site that had one of those wheel/rim selector tools that had our body style... but I can't seem to find it in the archives. Does anyone else remember this or possibly have the link handy?
Cheers,
Dion
