maybe you need to adjust the master cylinder pushrod length.it may not be completely releasing.when it locks up,loosen the master cylinder mounting bolts a little and see if the brakes release.

i believe this is going to be one of the straightest slicks ever.the factory gaps and panel fitment wasnt great even when new.

thats a nice wheel steve.where did it come from?enjoy the concrete.im going to pour some myself this spring so at least i have a pad to work on instead of grass and dirt.i dont have a garage but concrete is a definite upgrade.

yeah i thought about using the up to 72 housings and just using my lenses.that seems to be my only option for a new one.

yeah it is for a styleside.i did see the bronco housings but i had just bought new lenses and chrome trim for mine.i think worst case i 'll replace my sockets and just tamp the stripped hole that holds the lense on.i dont want to add back up lights because thats just one more thing for me to have to...

ive looked at most of the sources for usual parts(carolina clasics,dennis carpenter,lmc)and dont see new tail light housings for a 66.i see them for 61-63 and 67 up but not a 66.mine work but a couple holes are stripped out and the sockets are getting old and hard to put bulbs in.if anybody knows a ...

i have a friend that has 72 f100 that he used explorer bucket seats.he put a hydraulic clutch and 5 spd out of a 2wd early 90s f150.first the pedal sat too high so he changed it and then he changed seats to explorer buckets then the column was too close.he got so tired of moving things around he har...

you should just keep an eye out for a good center chunk with the gear ratio your looking for.it shouldnt be that hard to find as most cars had 28 spline axles and highway gears in alot of them like 2.80 and 3.00.

they wont be chance of messing up an axle doing this.there should be plenty of online videos or youtube videos.all you need is a decent dial indicator.you just measure the backlash before you take it apart and make it the same when you reinstall it.you wont have to touch the pinion to do this.

you could pull both center sections and just swap the new ring gear on to your old 28 spline carrier.you 'll never have to touch the pinion or pinion depth and if you measure the backlash before you take it apart you should be able to get it back pretty close.ive done this several times in my swappi...
