Don’t give up! This can be a happening site again if we just go for it.
There are other ways. Maybe not what we all want, but it’s not SUPER bad.
Out of town right now, but I’ll be back in a few days….

Well....you're sure making progress. I love your color choice, and getting there for sure. Are you trying to get it ready for the Grand Nationals, or just getting it ready.....?

Re: You got 5 minutes ?
Lol......the first time I've had a few hours off, and hoping to work on my truck, and WHAT HAPPENED? I had a tree that fell and got to run my chainsaw for a couple of hours, then my truck to haul the wood to my wood splitter, than ran the splitter for about 3 hours....... At least I had a chance to...

I've been reading this on and off for a while. I'd be glad to have you in my neighborhood. I know a lot of 61-66 F-100 truck owners in N.C. S.C., Ga., and Fla. if you ever want to have a truck show at your house. We can cruise the streets of your Hometown We'll keep everything nice and clean....and ...

Re: You got 5 minutes ?
Mr Grump; I love the idea of painting old Blue at Slick Stock. But for a person who has no free time at all, I couldn’t even make it to the F-100 Super Nationals in Sevierville Tenn. 3 weeks ago and and that’s only 6 1/2 hours away. A big old heart attack jumped in my way, and now the hospital and m...

Re: What's Happened to this Place?
I was on Facebook about 12 years ago and I supposedly had 403 friends. When a birthday rolled around I had to cut my phone off because of all the happy birthday wishes jamming it up. When I decided to make Facebook history and quit participating, the very next year I had a grand total of 3 genuine f...

Re: You got 5 minutes ?
Looks like we’re slacking off again, so I’ll just throw this in for safe keeping……. The last time I painted my 64 was 28 years ago. Now it needs it again. I parked it for a couple of years and drove my Jeep being better on gas. Then 3 years ago I totaled my Jeep, my wife asked if I was going to buy ...

Re: You got 5 minutes ?
I’m not sure about anyone else but keeping this going will help to keep me going as well. I’m definitely not a lazy person, but I can surely use a little nudge now and then. Thanks Grump, I have a lot to do on old Blue, and reading what you said about your truck started me to thinking about mine lol...

Re: When some things get so high, they fly out the window….
I wish I had some free time to do more on it, but every since the Coronavirus I’ve worked 16-18 hours a day 6 days a week. On Sunday I go to church, come home and eat lunch, then work until 10-12 pm. I work until i’m So sleepy, eat, take a shower, go to bed and get up and start all over….. I’ve had ...

When some things get so high, they fly out the window….
I’ve always ran BF Goodrich T/A Radials on my Slick. I just like the tires and how they look on the truck. The last set I purchased was about 12 years ago for $387.00 mounted and balanced. They still have decent tread, just some small dry rot cracks in the sidewalls. I’d hate to have one blowout and...

Remembering a friend…..
I’m not sure how long The Slick 60’s website will carry on, but it would be a shame for it to go under. Seems like every since we lost Tom Placer of Flashback F-100’s, this site has also dropped off. For the past couple of years I could come on here nearly any given day and read a post that Tom made...

Re: Fuel prices
Two weeks ago a friend hauling on his Big Rig (18 wheeler) stopped to fill his tanks. His bill was $982.00 OUCH…….that’s why prices are going up on everything. In Lowes last week to get lumber, a 16’ 2x12 is $81.65 and you can’t do much of anything with just 1 board…… Very uncertain where or when al...

My house isn’t huge but nice. For 3 months in a row my propane bill was just over $700
And we don’t over heat it either.
I’m just fortunate I could pay it

I’ve had some that screw on and off. It’s the NEW. Cables that have the Allen screw.
If you buy a new cable, you have to buy a wiper knob to fit it…..

You got 2 years on me Doc, but I feel your pain. I've been driving my 64 S/B for the most part of 37 years, as a daily driver and I love it. But as we speak, it's broke again and I enjoy working on it and would if I could, but for the past 19 months I've been working 12-16 hours a day, 7 days a week...

Re: Horn Question
Also make sure you only have about 1/16 of an inch gap between the steering wheel and the top of the column. Many times a weak cab mount will allow the cab overtime to drop down, which causes the steering shaft to rise upward. A wide gap will not let the horn contact in the turn signal switch make ...

I went with IMGBB.com It's FREE, and easy to use. Just create your page, add pictures, be sure that all of your embed codes are set on DIRECT LINKS. Go to Slick60s, click image, insert your DIRECT LINK from a photo on IMGBB, and you're done. I've been using this for over a year and NO PROBLEM. It t...
