What about Tom at Flashbacks???? I called him a month or so ago. Didn't have any in and didn't have any idea when he'd be getting any. Beds seem to be getting more and more scarce. His advice the day I called was to start looking for trucks for sale, that i was likely to find something quicker that...

I knew i should have parted out my truck. I sold the whole truck for $850 and the bed was in really good shape I can say for a certainty that there is a figure and number of miles that I'll drive that far outweigh doing the amount of body work I fear I am about to embark upon. If I could get a bed ...

Here it is.. m Follow this to a "T" and be EASY with that drill bit into the column. might even want to consider employing a piece of string and get a magnet ready. I may have deviated with the "reach around" solution (not sure why at this point) but i pretty much used Charlie's...

How is the bed on that 65. And by Fleetside do you mean "not a stepside" bed, right? What are you asking for it? Would you sell the bed seperate (if it's in good shape)?

Thanks!

Just heard back from James Duff who says they will not fit :(

If anyone else knows of any leads, I'm open to suggestions. Otherwise I'll just continue the hunt ...

WWW.jamesduff.com has tail light planels for a Bronco that look like the ones on our trucks. they are $65 new. I'm not sure if the two are interchangeable... Definitely something to look into. I sent them an email and will post what I find. I think there are a couple of classic Broncos in my neighb...

Taillight Panel and Post

Does anyone here know if anyone repops Taillight panel and/or posts? I got attacked by a wild cedar tree at a wedding this weekend and I'm going to need to include the passenger side tail light panel in my upcoming body work extravaganza. On a related note - does anyone make any replacement bed pane...

I've got sound deadener everywhere, but there is still no getting around those 60's flying brick aerodynamics. Wind noise really kicks in above 65 mph, a big stereo does help over come the wind highway speeds. It funny, I just seem to turn the stereo up and not pay much attention to wind noise, unt...

Ice is the man here. I have one thing to add - you can retard your timing to move the torque curve back "down."

OD trans would definitely help (would reduce RPM's at highway speeds) but you have to weigh the cost of the sway v.s the savings Don't get a bigger carb or intake, but EFI does help - again, weigh the prices. Shorter rear gears would certainly help. Replacing the head with a 240 head will raise comp...

I love me a meaty rear end! http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2446/3560785436_0ba10d8c60_z.jpg Matt - what size setup is that? Looks like some 8" with 275's, maybe? Jim NEVERMIND! Did some searching for your previous posting - i thought I remembered that conversation. Jim

I've always felt the 302s were a little lacking in a truck(my daily driver is a 1996 5.0)..Especially if your looking for "grunt"..Since you have the 5 speed with an over drive gear I would go for a fairly low rear gear to help get you going..Something like a 3.70.. I second the 3.70's. M...

Oh yeah, X2 BUT sound deadener all over helps. The wind is just a bitch at 70mph+. Oh I laid down tons of sound deadener, as well as insulation under the hood and roof. But it's still just too loud at real highway speeds... I was agreeing with you, dude. the wind noise is just really loud at highwa...

I bought and installed a Kenwood kit that included a head and two speakers which I mounted in the doors. It sounds good enough for me! Except once I get up to 65mph and above the wind & road noise really begin to compete with the sound system, and I have to turn it up to the point where its alm...

I installed a 600watt amp under the seat, one 6X9 quad coil in each door panel. Used sound deadener on every panel in the cab. Sounds great. There is no difference in sound quality if you mount the speakers facing the seat or towards the front. Believe me. They still shoot into the seat either way. ...

ace is the place..... Oh yeah. Absolutely. My favorite - Intown Hardware - didn't stock 9/16" and the next closest Ace (who did had them) was a real bear traffic-wise (+30 min) and lowe's was on the way home. The Fastenal guys had them - but were surprisingly unknowledeable and not real helpfu...

I found the 9/16"-12 x 4" at Lowe's:

Leaf Spring Bolts

They had what will work, way cheaper than the fastener places, small hardware shops (who I'd prefer to support) or any auto supply (online or otherwise.
