Dowel cutter? The long end goes in a hole in the benchtop. the dowel goes in the opening on top........

Nothin' wrong with the points style regulators. I went through 3 solid state ones while trying to get the wiring right. One wrong connection and they are fried. I am back to the original style and have no problems.
