Thanks for all the positive comments! Maybe I can address a few questions: How do you like it so far? is it a little mushy? How does it corner? All in all, I am more than happy how the truck rides. The truck plain drives down the road smoother, tracks through corners way better, and stops like it ha...

Yep those 275/60/15s will look nice. They really fit the rear wells nicely give our trucks a bit of a hot rod look.

We’re almost done! Oh but wait. We’re missing brakes. This is actually a fairly confusing subject since everyone has something to say about master cylinders and yadda ya. After extensive research, I opted for a 1974 Maverick 15/16” manual master cylinder. I don’t like power brakes, but I wanted to m...

Shock mounts. Hmm… From what I had seen online, people had done it in nearly every way imaginable. I took a step back and went with the most logical approach. This is what I came up with: https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_61A9DoXqLIY/TOChx4s0MkI/AAAAAAAAAhg/VHuEigz3QgA/s960/DSC06448.JPG https://lh4...

I jacked the crossmember up to the chassis, only to discover that the corners of the crossmember foul the frame rails by less than an inch on either side. Its an easy little section to cut out. By the way, the F100 frame is 34” wide- so I wouldn’t try using the Jag IFS on anything wider. https://lh6...

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_61A9DoXqLIY/TOCiTHrpLII/AAAAAAAAAjA/Wd9TunlRaNo/s960/DSC06796.JPG I owe it to you guys to do this write up. It has also been posted on the HAMB boards. And thus we begin the all-intensive front suspension swap to rid my F100 of its poor ride, vague steering, and n...

That would be third gear for me! However, since the engine has to work less anyways, 4th gear is seemingly just as good at a constant 50mph.

You can hear it in the motor too. It kinda changes pitch once you crest about 2700rpm. And then its just happily buzzing along.

The only downside of going faster is that I can't hear the radio as well! :?

Approx. 2350rpm at 65mph, and 3000rpm at 80mph.

Stock 292, 3.00 rear gear, 28" tall rear tire.

Okay you know what's a pretty amazing discovery I had lately? I found out that it doesn't matter if I'm cruising 65 or 85 mph, the truck uses up the same amount of gas. I guess technically that means that I get peak mileage at 85... which is pretty wild! I've always heard that going slower would sav...

This usually is true.

Hitting the open road and settling in for a nice long ride is super fun in a slick. Enjoy!
