Re: Is it worth the trouble? Hood repair
you can buy new cab mounts but not hoods.i looked for a good hood for a while and eventually paid $100 for a hood that needed the same rust in the front lip repaired.i would sell it as is.i'm sure someone could use it and repair it.i took 2 hoods and cut the lip out of one hood and welded it in the ...

Re: Swapping mechanical fan for electric

Re: leak under dashboard - passenger side
I second the wiper pivots.mine leaked like crazy.i just took mine off and seam sealed them too.i had to reseam a lot of the seams around the cab on my 66.i assume that's why my floors had rusted out.

that's what he told me.he said it took different size rivots.i'm not doubting his work or his price.just for me personally I couldn't justify that on hood hinges but other people can.also i'm not going for a perfect restoration, just a worn looking work truck that I can ride in like I did with my 63 ...

Re: my shipwrecked '63
if you get aftermarket hood hinges they are a crapshoot.i got a set and one hinge fit perfect and the other I had to grind the holes bigger and still shim the hood alittle on that side to get it to shut decent.i found a guy in va. that restores original hood hinges last year but he quoted me $500 to...

I marked the doors before I took them off and put the weatherstripping on and then reinstalled the doors.the problem is mainly at the front and rear of the top of the door.it bunch's up at the corners(not in the center).what was left of the old weatherstripping fit fine at the top, just wasn't much l...
