Its finally a camper special

After converting my truck to a F250 I finally get to put it to use. Found a nice Early 70's overhead camper for a good price and couldnt pass it up. :D [albumimg]6620[/albumimg][/img]

Driveshaft will be too short. When I converted my F100 to F250 I had to use the driveshaft from the doner truck as mine was too long. Hope this helps. :D

I too have a 262 and it is a very strong runner. Pulls my truck along at 75-80mpg no problem. Fuel pumps are hard to come by, Napa doesnt carry the right one so I ended up getting a NOS unit off of Ebay.

Make sure your getting power to the coil when the key is in the cranking position. If not then start by checking to make sure the wire connected to the "I" terminal on the starter solenoid is connected and not loose, corroded etc.

BTW, Nice truck, im very jealous. :D

I used Rustoleum rusty metal primer and and there gloss black paint. Worked great and seems to be holding up just fine. I also used it on the backing plates. :D

An 88 2.3 should be one piece I believe, would just require removing the trans.

Wish I was at the shop, have a 87 2.3 ranger engine sitting on the floor.

I run these on the back of my truck and my truck had no problem going the 24 inches of snow we had.

Of course the power-lok in my Dana 60 rearend helps too. :D
