NICE truck Jeff, you must have a golden horse shoe up your butt. That should be a relatively easy build, as far as (very little rust repair). Glad to
see the pics, I might even get some ideas for mine. You keep working and I'll keep watching....

Re: WHAT UP???????
Well, last weeks Grand National F-100 Show is now in the history book (a pretty darn good one, considering the worlds Virus problems), and I'm almost caught up from being gone. With a few more daily temps in the 90's this week, then dropping back to the low 80's, I'll attempt to start making progres...

Re: Cowl Panel Patches
Sorry chris401
That was an honest misprint on my part. The 61-66 door pillars are 16 ga., 61-64 floor pans (the good ones) are 18 ga., and the 61-64 cab mounts are 14 ga.

Re: Cowl Panel Patches
Concerning slick body parts, did Ford use the same gauge metal on all of there cab? Were pieces like cab mounts, floor pans and braces thicker? Door pillars and cab mounts are structural parts of the cab, just like the brick and block foundation for a house. The stronger pieces hold everything else...

I haven't seen the progress that you've made on your truck in a good while. I'm with you on the FLAT paint . I just ordered mine from TCP Global in California. They are matching my original color (Skylight Blue) perfectly. I figure at my age, I'll wash it and keep it clean, but my waxing days are ov...

Re: Steve's 64 Short-bed Project
Looking good "like a 64 should" . Pretty sure your truck got a lot of attention at the cruise-in. I had a nice aluminum 64 grill I bought for mine about 6 years ago, and not being able to bring myself to put anything shiny on my truck, I just sold it to a friend Thursday who's doing a 64 c...

It's like I can't catch a break between the high temps and a shortage of free time. I broke a trailing arm on the rear end of my 64 S/B Saturday a week ago. Too hot and too busy to fix it yet. Will be getting ready for the Grand National F-100 Show. Will be working there all next week, then a week o...

WOW..... how many times have I been THERE. AND, I came to that same conclusion. I've even had things on my mind that I couldn't figure out when I went to bed, only to sit straight up in the bed at 2:30 in the morning with the answer. I'd get dressed, drive 7 miles to my shop, and fix whatever it wa...

Bill Even slow/steady progress is welcomed progress. You are closer than you were. Mine broke about 10 days ago and it'll be at least 3 weeks before I can even begin to fix it. Right now...."it's a SAD world that I live in". :( I can't wait. Every day that goes by, is another day that I ca...

Re: Steve's 64 Short-bed Project
I miss driving mine too..... But I've got a busy schedule at work for the next 3 weeks, and with the current heat I can't work on it....especially to get it all done before then. SO, I guess it will be several weeks before I can even get started on it. People don't even wave at me in my wife's car,...

Dang, and I thought I suffered a lot of stress. You have a LOT going on my friend. God given intelligence tells us that all things must be done step-by step....and first-things-first. I think you already have things in order. So yeah, I agree the truck can wait a bit longer. At least until you can c...

Well, in 36 years....it's her 1st time ever on a trailer :( Many moons ago (22 years) I wanted to run both tailpipes out the drivers side of my roll pan rather than the traditional Right & Left kinda deal. To do that we had to do away with the rear leaf springs so we could get both pipes on the ...

I like the drop to Steve. You got me by about 2 1/2" front & back :D . You seem to have found it! Seems like ALL vehicles have that imaginary line where they look GREAT, but if you go 1/2" past that line (whatever it may be) it will look like Fido's BUTT. Yep you found it.......cool.

Morning April I've been hopping on and off this forum for months and wanted to check you out, and see if you were putting around in that great looking ride of yours yet. Don't be scared, they don't all stay perfect for very long. Started driving mine again as a daily driver, and it's constantly some...

Yep...it was guaranteed delivery by today, Thursday, July 16th....now it will be Tuesday of next week. Oh well...I'm not driving the truck that much anyway, so I can wait... Yep, I'm running into the same thing Steve. Had some wheel tubs shipped on the 14th, was going to be delivered on the 17th. (...

I ordered some seat belt mounting brackets, got them in today. Got them installed where I wanted them. Just for lap belts, (planning to run used belts, at least until I get my seat covered). I'll try and get them in tomorrow, if the temps will let me. In the mid 90's for the next 7-8 days, with kill...

I bought a 1952 2 door Champion with a flat head 6. Had a blown head gasket, but the body was fantastic. Got it for $40.00 (oh yeah, this was back in 1970). Put a $ 3.75 head gasket on it, and drove it for 4 years. Gave it to my brother, he drove it for 3 years and gave it to my dad. He drove it for...
