Re: Wood fired garage heat
I don't think they would ever approve it because the stove is home made. I figured outside is the safest place for it. Makes for more room in the shop too.

Wood fired garage heat
I need a bit of advice. I'm building a wood fired stove for the garage. It's going to be outside, and the heat pumped into the garage through 4" pipe. I have pictures but essentially I'm makeing a 16" stove inside of an insulated 20" pipe. 2 feet long, the stove will sit horizontal. M...

Have you talked to a local spring shop? Here if you bring them the dimensions they can make up a spring for you.

I still recall sitting at my Grandmas as a kid.. watching the tv.. hearing static, and then Breaka break 17 .... or some other channel powering thru the tv reception... Everyone already has a Handel. You guys would have a lot of fun. When I was a kid I setup a CB radio in my bedroom... It was aweso...

Windshield washer fluid reservoir/pump
I promised someone long a go for these pictures. I snagged this washer fluid container from a van a few years ago. Figured it may come in handy one day. https://photos.app.goo.gl/cU0qIN38X5nHwqa73 https://postimg.org/image/drfmmi80l/ https://s18.postimg.org/deo8gbpqx/IMG_20171228_145140.jpg Nic

Re: '62 F100 Uni - yes another Crown Vic swap
I love the updates! Are you talking about windshield washer fluid? If so I discovered a pretty trick piece. Ford van's had the fluid container deep in the inner fender spaces and they used about a 10" very flexible tube to fill it. The tube was made out of a rubber like compound and the fill ca...

Seatbelts - new aftermarket or wrecker
So I priced out some seatbelts on "seatbelt planet". Then got to thinking maybe I should just get a set from the wreckers out of a newer pickup, maybe something like a dent side truck. I don't want anything fancy. A black 3 point belt for each side and a black lap belt for the middle. I wo...

Awesome build thread. Thanks for putting so much detail in. I think the words we should start using for right and left should be "port" and "starboard" . Not that I know anything about boats. I live on the prairies. Those words avoid left and right perspective problem and the whi...

Re: A rocker arm went dry... how far do I go?
. My trucks are just drivers, and I like to drive them and use them for “truck stuff.” I typically replace things when they are broken, excessively worn, or about to break. This isn’t everyone’s style, so do whatever you’re comfortable with :2cents: I use to be of the mind that I want to rebuild it...

Re: A rocker arm went dry... how far do I go?
Maybe some smarter advice would be... why don't you pickup another 300 block and rebuild it at your leisure while you see how far that motor with the oil problem goes. If your going to be replacing cams and timing sets and everything anyway. Then it will also be the least amount of down time. How ma...

Re: A rocker arm went dry... how far do I go?
I'm embarrassed to say that when I was a lot dumber... I mean younger I drove a 1/2 ton with a 300. It leaked so bad it took two cases of oil to get me the 1100 km to visit my girlfriend. I would add oil when I started to hear the valves clicking and clacking. I drove it like that for two years, pro...

Nic: In your case someone took the photo and posted it to their own account, after which Unibody Union saw it and reposted it. I've noticed some of our other members are active on there as well, and there are a lot of other projects I've never seen before. Seems our trucks have gained a lot of popu...

That's so cool. I'm internet famous and didn't even know it. I don't know how my truck got on that guys Instagram, he isn't local.
The truth is I don't really know how all that Instagram really works. LoL
