Greetings everyone, Today was another "Demo Day" at the museum. The theme for the day was "The Eye of the Beholder". The idea was to have folks go to our website and vote for three vehicles in the collection that they deemed to be stylish, or beautiful, or iconic. Then we would d...

Re: Bill Elliott's Old Number 9 Thunderbird
Okay, I think that I have figured it out. The video file was too large. So, I had to trim footage from both ends of it. What started out as a 3:09 minute video has ended up as a 1:44 minute video. Oh well, live and learn… http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll207/sinc64/th_Number%209%20Take%205_zpscj...

Greetings Everyone, Today was "Daytona Demo Day" at the museum. For the past several months we have had Bill Elliott's 1987/88 Thunderbird (Number 9) on loan at the museum. This is the car that went 210 MPH at Daytona in 1987. Because of THIS CAR, NASCAR instituted Restrictor Plate racing ...

Hey TR, You got me on that one. I'm not aware of any wings, or such, on any of the 1967 MK IV's. Here is a link to photos of a few of them… http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/cg/3406/Ford-Mk-IV.html Also, the only Mark VII's that I know of are 1963/64 Lincoln Continentals. Are we talking about the same ...

Re: Philadelphia Auto Show
Number 4 is a 1967 Ford MK IV. This car competed at the 1967 Le Mans. Four of these streamlined, highly sophisticated prototypes were entered at Le Mans in 1967, and one of them went on to an easy victory. After winning Le Mans in 1966 and 1967, Ford Motor Company withdrew from international racing.

Hey, great photos! Thanks for sharing them. I really like that first photo of the Slick! I like what they did with the front fender "intakes" I guess you would call them. Also, FYI, The Historic Vehicle Association (HVA) asked Dr. Simeone if they could borrow the museum's Cobra Daytona Cou...

I'm so sorry to hear of John's illness. He is a great guy! I met him several years ago at Kosko's Garagemahal. After that, we all enjoyed John's antics at SlickStock II in York, PA. Can anyone forget John dressed in his Confederate Officers Uniform for our cruise to Gettysburg? I sure can't! John, i...

Re: What's your story?
My Slick story starts back around 1995. My oldest daughter was in high school and about to get her driver’s license. She had a whole list of possible cars she wanted to own. Of course, we couldn’t afford any of them! Then, one day she came home and announced that she wanted “a truck from Alabama”. W...
