Oil Pan Removal - 223 "6"

Can the oil pan on the 223 (in a 64 F100) be removed without raising the engine or affecting the rear seal? I want to clean out all the sludge that I'm sure has settled there after all these year.

Remember that he drove the 15 Wrangler Thunderbird in 82 and 83, although they didn't mention it in the film. The wreck they showed in Pocono where he broke his leg, he was driving the 15. Also if you noticed, they "fogged" the simpson patch on his uniform all but once in the movie. Oh, I...

Gritsngumbo, Using the kit(Adapter plate, Disk, Pressure Plate, Throwout, & Pilot brg) from Mummert, it was pretty much a bolt up deal. Did have to get a shorter driveshaft and adjust the floorboard(BFH) a little. Fred Mummert? Can you help me locate. I "googled" it with no results. T...

Don't know who you were addressing with your question, but in my 62 with a 223, I used a T5 from a mustang.

Sorry, didn't make it clear did I? I was asking 65 Truck_Nut, but thanks. How difficult a swap was it? Bolt up or did you need a new bell housing/adapter?

Looks great. You obviously have a lots more patience that I do. What did you do unhook the wires, etc., pull them back and wrap them to keep paint off?

The R&P setup Kid is looking into uses a slip joint from a big truck (straight truck/semi). I drive this stuff for a living and you would never know the slip joint is in there if you didn't know about. Works flawlessly! Is this something that "KID" is building or buying? Any links to ...

Which trans?

Which transmission did you use? and what is it behind? I have a granny behind a 223 6 and I don't like it at all.

Are you still making the door panels? I'm planning on doing my interior in gray tones (red paint inside and out). Maybe I could send you the fabric to match?

You might want to PM Uncle skip on that stuff. He has done how-to articles on both the front sway bar and the brakes, and seatbelts and gas tanks, but he usually deletes his pictures about 2 days after he posts an article, so maybe he can help in private. Just got a PM from him regarding the sway ba...

Thanks for the responses from all. I will try to do more research, but for what I'm trying to accomplish (easier low speed steering and a smaller steering wheel). I think I'm going to give it a go too! I also have a lead on a way to install a front sway bar on the 64. Just add disc brakes and I'll b...

Wouldn't that require cutting/welding etc? I don't have that ability. The No Limits option seems like something I can handle (drilling holes and installing bolts, lines etc.(

R&P from No Limit for 64 F100

Quite by accident, I just discovered No Limit Engineering has a Power Rack and Pinion setup for a 1964 F100. (most vendors skip right over the 64). Has anyone tried this product? Seems to be a fairly basic bolt-on (based on article in Classic Trucks Magazine). I'm thinking that this along with a dis...

If you're ever in Monroe, LA I'll fix you up with some G&G. I lived in Springfield for about 3 years in the late 80's. Great place to live and great people.

Gene: That worked, replaced the 15 amp fuse and now I am well lit. The PO had a 30 amp in there and it was blown, so I must have another problem that I'm going to have to address.
Thanks again.

64 F100 Fuse Panel - Help

I need help! Checking over my 64 yesterday prior to taking it in for interior paint and discovered that my headlights and turn signals are working, but all other lights are not. (They were working when I had it inspected at the first of the month). I'm assuming that a fuse is blown. I have taken the...

Can anyone give me an idea of what these plastic headliners look like? I have a 64 F100 and the headliner looks to be made of a cardboard like material, 4 pieces, it's intact, but could use a good cleaning or possibly paint it The plastic may be a better looking solution. Thanks.
