Re: 223 bolt up to a S10 T5

You need a Ford Mustang T-5. The adaptor will work with a 94-95 transmission, the modded bellhousing works with an 85-93 transmission. They have 2 different input shaft lengths. The S10's T-5 does not have the right mounting pattern to work with the Y block - 223 bell housing pattern. Some people s...

Re: Progress on the "Slick" Lighting

Chris had to replace the core support on his too.
All the F 150s that era I had were rusted too.
I think they rust worse than a Slick core support.

Re: wheels for disc brake conversion?

Most of the late 80s - 90s van & truck wheels are 7" wide rather than the older 5 & 6". If you happen to like the polished aluminum 10 hole wheels no rivets 90s (they were the Premium option) - those are 8" wide. You can find 8" steelies - they are quite hard to come by.

Re: Interchangeability of parts

You should have grabbed the driveshaft from that 62 you got the bed from. I'd have given it to you too - it got pitched into scrap run. It actually depends on what slip joint you use too. Doesn't the 3 speed have a yoke on the output shaft? If so you will need a slip joint in the driveshaft too. My...

Re: Broke my heart seeing this....................

I hate to cut any of them up. Heck I wanted to fix my old blue 64 LWB - I could have salvaged the chassis........... Sad as it is some are just not worth fixing. I try to save everything I can off them though; I have bought parts at the pull ur own that I didn't need just to pass the on. I have a f...

Re: 1962 Flareside restomod Perbuild notes and work up

The 300-6 and an M5OD, 351 W with a 5 speed was used in plenty of F 250s in the 90s.
If you need more engine than those you probably also need more truck too.
Unless you are dragging full size trucks across the USA those combinations are probably sufficient.
Welcome to Slick 60s.

I personally think it's an attempt at an intimidation scam. "Give me what I want or I will trash you" Your guy took it to a whole new level - Ass Hat..................... I had some guy try this crap with me on an RC plane years ago. He gets it, removes all the radio equipment and then se...

Re: wheels for disc brake conversion?

Easy solution?
Just go get a set of stock steelies from a van or pickup made with disc brakes out of a junkyard.
The rim is different on disc brake wheels to clear the caliper - about the only difference.

I am still smiling after getting to visit the other night Mark.
I honestly never will forget the ride last year either.

The videos were awesome!
