Re: Bought a mower

Maybe you will look like Forest Gump, but you're going to have so much fun with that mower. BTW,,, don't knock the Snapper, I've owned 3 in the last 42 years, $80,00 for the 1st one, $100 for the 2nd one, and bought the 3rd one last year for $40 and it's the best one I've owned yet. In fact it has s...

Re: Shift Tube Comparison

Happened to see this and thought this might help down the road. Out of 34 years of building these columns comes a little bit of preventive maintenance. Those 2 little factory spot welds (whether it's made in the U.S. or China) rarely hold up very long, as you can see from yours being gone. Nearly ev...

Re: my shipwrecked '63

Hey Miss April I've been busy and off the site for a while and just got back on today. I always enjoy checking on your truck to see if you're driving it yet. You may have already fixed your horn but if not, you have too much gap between the steering wheel and the top of the column. Closing that gap ...

GRRRRRRR......... I know that feeling ALL TO WELL...... Been there and Done that, ........ But my problem is, I've done it more than once. PEOPLE, God made and He'll have to handle them. Re: The Hulk Project

At 1st glance I liked the Hulk, and at every glace past that one, I've liked it more and more. I've always loved the theme of..... "IT'S A TRUCK, fix it your way, drive it, use it, and enjoy it". I truly enjoy watching a Slick owner's brains poured out on the work table. Ya kinda get to kn...

:D I like your STYLE Mr. Jones. "if it works, leave it alone" , my daddy taught me that from the age of 8, and the way you put things in place to STAY. LOL.....all the guys that I've ever employed would whisper to each other behind my back, how I go OVER KILL on everything. I really don't ...

Re: Rusty 352...???’s

I would think the 50/50 mix for a few miles and then flush until clear, and add anti freeze would be the way to go. I'll be out of town all this week, but plan to do that exact same thing to my Jeep when I get back...... I bought it cheap 8 years ago because all the rust made it over heat with the p...

Re: I'm hoping to SOON make some changes on my 64 s/b

Ha, ha..... Most people look at my truck and never notice the grill. I just never liked to have something like everybody else had. It seems that mild changes like that keep people coming back and trying to find out where the difference is and the all of a sudden they say "now I see it" . I...

Re: why does this stuff always happen in the pouring rain?

It's always been for me that if I drive mine regularly, everything is a simple fix. If I put it aside and drive my Jeep Wrangler for week or 2, then it all goes to pot. Guess it's kinda like our human bodies as they get older, ""use it, or lose it". Our Slicks should be used (for what...

Re: Fastback Mustang and early Bronco rant

I agree on the crazy outrageous pricing of nearly ALL vehicles. It seems to be a marketing-mentality thing. Even if somebody posts a vehicle on Craigslist for a reasonably cheap price, then when they go back and look at their post and see all the higher priced ones, they quickly go back and change t...

This may help. My FORD chart for a Slick 4x4 F-100 says the Body equipment & Payload allowance is 1,965 pounds.

Maybe it's me, but a person could easily be persuaded that this is a ORIGINAL factory painted F-250 unibody, and it has the larger opening on the front fenders. Well maybe 97% persuaded, I have seen some fantastic new-look to old-look paint work.

The reason I said "hoping to" is because it all depends on how much free time I can create, and if I can keep enough funds coming in to finish everything.... https://i.ibb.co/XYynWNW/IMG-4733.jpg I've been eyeballing this hanging on the wall in my shop for months, and how and where I could...
