Re: Let's talk about Fuel Gauges again
When you replace it, be sure to throw the old one away! Don't ask how I arrived at that wisdom; let's just say that gasoline eventually evaporates, and I have a terrible pack rat habit! Paul i have soldered single pinholes in floats before, works ok but be very sure the float is clean and empty whe...

Re: Assembling engine question
P.S. My last rebuild, I covered the timing chain with 10W/30 motor oil working it around to get the air out and the oil into all the joints. Then I let the chain soak in the motor oil over night in a coffee can. i have always done timing chains in a can of atf, a little thinner it gets into the joi...

Re: F100 Supernational tale
Not sure what everyone percieves as the "weakness" in the MII setup. It certainly is not a truck suspension,Paul my point exactly. the same pothole in front of a store in town that hurts in my car i dont notice in the truck.a lot of that im sure is due to the larger tires but still... had...

probably could use a 73 collar, from before the put the key in the column
also you can install a 61-66 flasher, light and switch very easily plugs right into your wire harness look in the junkyard or parts wanted lots of trucks have them
